Hi All, I’m still undecided as to whether I should go for a single 12-3 or 10-2.

I remember playing through an Eden 12” combo that sounded real punchy and tight at lower volumes which I really enjoyed but once it gets a little louder (even for home practice not a band setting), the Eden gets quite boomy and undefined. Will I face the same with the 12-3?

I have never experienced "undefined" with my 12-3. Boomy is subjective. I don't ever recall an instance when I thought I was boomy and it was the fault of my amp. that's usually a room issue.

Using the scientific method of listening to a loop from two rooms away my 12-3 SLT had a highly balanced and detailed sound. Something like an Empress Para EQ Deluxe or a simple HPF/LPF would help you manage boom.

Not the 210, but I use my single 12-3 with my Mag 800 head all the time for lower volume gigs. Only pair it with my 410 for outdoor gigs. Without hesitation.

I would love the 410 and I really wish I had a need for it!

My ba2-115-3 just delivered to work so I could sign for it. Wishing I brought a head and bass to work. Had to put it in the truck to stop thinking about it. FedEx guy made a funny noise and said "Naw its not heavy it's just awkward."

Stand alone 112 Edens have/had few fans, whether XLT (mid heavy, bass light) or budget dual cone (little headroom). Don't know which your combo was similar to.

No such limitations for the Genzler cabinets you're interested in. Get both : )

I am now home with my BA2-115-3SLT. The 15's screws all needed a few twists (this is a used purchase not new from factory or dealer).

You are not going to hide anything from this cab! Whoever said more expensive gear will not make you a better player never heard everything they were doing wrong this clearly.

For now I am going to roll my treble down in public

Congrats on the cab! I agree with you on the clarity. It really helped me when I started playing a fretless bass.

Does anyone here use other heads with their Genzler Cabs?

I have a ba2-15-3SLT and I am currently looking for a good deal on a ba2-210-3SLT.

Hadn't considered a head yet but my GK MB Fusion 800 is now approaching 8 years old.

Is it Genzler all the way or bust?
