I have a subjective question and am seeking direction from people much smarter than me as to which cabinet would go best with a MG-350/BA2-10 combo to reach the full 350 watts.
Some background: My amp fund was seriously depleted by a new roof necessitate by a gnarly storm back in August and two doggie surgeries. It is being rebuilt slowly and I expect to be able to purchase the MG combo by late February/early March. It will replace for MOST gigging purposes, my wondrous but heavy Genz-Benz 500c/15" combo.
I play in an acoustic Americana trio with two guitars/banjo through the PA and me on the GB. It's a traditional, thump-focused 60's-style bass sound: Think Ampeg B18 (yep, played one back in the day until my neighbor needed it back. Best three years of a young bassist's life.)
I also play in fairly a loud alternative rock originals band that requires more mids to get through the distorted guitar and manic drummer who hits hard.
I also back up some acoustic guitarists singer/songwriter types at some winery open mic nights, usually using a Fender Rumble 40.
So you have an idea of my needs. I have not played through the MG combo, but I dig the GB and I've heard some folks playing through the 350 and it has a great sound. Plus, I like the fact that if I have a question or problem, @agedhorse and @Jeff Genzler tend to pop up on this forum and can answer it with authority.
Try that with Fender or Ampeg.
Also, my main gigging bass is a Drake Custom, so why not play the best through the best?
So, the questions: I'm considering, once I have the MG350 combo in my basement, adding an extension speaker within the following 30 to 60 days after purchase to get the full wattage. I cannot seem to decide -- money being a major obstacle -- whether to go for the BA2-12, another BA2-10 an NC-12 or other suggestions. I also have a line on a NOS BA210 that's in the $750-$1,200 affordability framework.
Any thoughts, recommendations, anecdotes and insults are welcome and will go into the decision-making matrix.

, and obviously not on any panels with handles that would be in the way, as long as you don't mind drilling the holes. The screws for the mounting brackets for the combos are already in the cabinets, so you'd have to get screws somewhere. Jeff probably has them. They screw into metal inserts in the combos. You'd have to do inserts also.
