Genzler Amplification Club

Okay, I thought about things and decided to delete all my posts that have anything to do with the mystery product that will be announced on 4/30. I would ask all of you who have posted about my postings to delete your posts as well, and then that will get it off internet searches that index Talkbass. Or not.

I did this of my own volition, nobody asked me to do anything. I love Jeff, he has taken care of me very well since I bought my Genzler gear, and I respect Tom Bowlus a ton also.

So there ya go. You guys do what you need to do to sort of put it back under wraps. I also humbly ask the forgiveness of those that I managed to offend in my excitement to share the uh.. information, whatever it was, wherever it was that I saw it, and whoever shared it.

It is going to be a very exciting new product, and I am going to buy it, and I will continue to sing the praises of Jeff's exceptional gear. It is going to sell like crazy. Whatever it will be.

No worries about the sneak peek at this stage. We're just a couple of days away.
Frankly, I'm impressed we made it this long.
Thanks to all of you for your initial comments and interest. Our Genzler team hopes you appreciate what's coming. Full information posts noon on Tuesday, EST.

You are a gentleman and a scholar! And, like all of us, an excited consumer of bass gear! Thank you, and much love and respect, Michael!

Aaahhh man I’ve had the genzler Magellan 800 and been loving it. An then I bought series 1 cabs. Shows patience helps! Haha I would love this preamp. But I just added the sushi UA which helps add that tuby sound. Atleast some. Ugh this is guna make me want want want tho. I can only imagine the power of the eq an then the tuby sound man this would be for me the perfect head for those all type tones

Honestly, many of us don’t need most of what we have.

lmfao this^^ I’m learning this ssooo much with bass which is why I woulda chilled an waited a little mroe till now to buy my main rig. Cause I’d still get genzler but if this is a head not a pedal that sucks. But if they come out with the pedal form would be awesome l. But if I didn’t have the Magellan 800 I woulda got this head now I’ve learned I really enjoy the flat sound eq a the tuby breakjp a the eq of genzler is great . This maybe make me think of selling thr 800 but outdoor festivals are always big in my genera an while monitors an that are nice I will say the only time have the on stage power is nice is those shows outdoor and when the wind is up. I want to feel my bass so on that stage I got to push my amp a lot more. But more times then not if it was tubes I’d prob barely be opening them up. I think the 350 watt of the preamp if it comes would be much more my speed an if it’s a DI like the Magellan head it’s game set a match. It’s funny you said this cause I’m really learning my tone I want is really flat. An really that’s pretty easily achieved with most equipment. Bass reallt don’t need that much other then maybe m mod FX an synths I guess. But I’ve been comin to this conclusion.

VERY anxious to see the details! I already have two stellar heads, Mesa D800+ and Magellan 800. Nothing wrong with adding another! Like spices for cooking, different ones add something that can be used differently to achieve what you want if this makes sense. Can’t wait.

Ima be really interested in their version of a preamp. I’m hearing in my head a new hi fi sounding like alembic pres use to be. But obviously through the array cabs a what not idk I have a feeling for me this will be the time an head for me to just plug a play with. I also have the Magellan 800 an how solid the eq is an how Jeff choose to not color but use the distortion for breakup a the eq settings I feel he really knows what bass players mostly like an makes a one stop shop. I wonder if this will have a pedla version OR if I may sell the Magellan a get the pedla a buy this head idk we will see what happens. But I’ll be very interested I love the almebic tone an I just feel Jeff is in that realm but his own thing with the hi fi sound an the cabs are amazing.

So with the Magellan head I’m tryin to achieve a more flat tone with maybe some trebel boost. But more so like studio monitors tone. I’ve fully finally understood how poweful the eq an contour an frequency knob are. So I got suggestions on the Spector page that’s really helped but I’m still tryin to just I guess understand. The contour turned all the way down is flat eq and if I were to turn the frequency up that would allow more of the higher end burby tones im wanting. It’s a little rumbly I was shown my on board pre goes all the way down to 50hz on bass. So I’ve cut most or the bass on my bass pretty much all the way down.

Now I know cabs make a difference here big time. I have the genzler 1x15 array SLT and then a mesa subway 2x10. I’m def wanting to go for a genzler 2x10 I feel the genz cabs are more set for flat Hinfi sound. Any recommendations? Adding I’m thinking of adding a HPF an LPF but idk how realistic their application is. But I do think the 15 is a little to deep for me I’m not quite sure on what to make.

I was told to turn the freq all the way down a the contour to flat? Wouldn’t I want the contour down an freq up for what I’m tryin to achieve?

Well, shoot, ever since I got my Magellan 7 years ago I have been gas free. No desire at all or need for anything than the stellar 800 and now…I guess I’ll just have to deal with that old gas feeling.

i did notice for the first time ever my Magellan making a humming noise. Maybe the fan? It was strange. I’ve also noticed that it has been getting warm to the touch after use.
@Jeff Genzler is there a service shop in LA? Or will this require shipping elsewhere?
I’m not sure if I need to go there yet.
