Genzler Amplification Club

Beautiful bass! I have 2 Metro Expresses, one 1st gen and one 2nd gen. They sound spectacular through my old GB setup but I can't help but drool over the Genzler stuff. One day I'll take the leap! Enjoy that beautiful rig.View attachment 7094426
What a beautiful GB rig with those Sadowsky basses.
I always loved the Uber 212. Seems like we need to revisit that format.

I would love to take a NC212 amd Kinetix for a spin. I'm in Western NC so it seems like Knoxville might be my best bet for getting to try one out. The vertical layout is really appealing as we typically play pretty small stages

The Uber and SM 9.2 really is a remarkable setup. I've played some large outdoor gigs with it and never had any issues keeping up. The low mids on that thing just whomps.

I had to play through a friend's Hartke 410 when I was subbing for a blues jam many years ago. I don't recall the exact model. The lows were impressive but as soon as I got above an open D, it just disappeared. It was so thin. That's what I love about the Uber 212. You can feel the notes even in higher registers, but it never gets muddy. If and when I take them Genzler plunge, I will undoubtedly keep the GB rig. It just does so many things well. Great job, Jeff!

Kenny, you probably have already noted that Lane Music out in far west Knoxville is the Genzler dealer for east Tennessee.

Lane does not typically stock a big selection of Genzler gear, so you will want to call them before coming over this way.

Also, there are a number of us ETTB players who have Genzler gear. I don't know of anyone who has the NC212, but you can inquire on the ETTB thread. Earlier today, I put a query out on there.

MaxSpinrun has the Magellan 800 and 15-3 cab, someone else (can't recall username at moment) also has a 15-3 setup, and I have the MG-350 combo and extension 10-2 stack. There are others.

Just wondering- Which route would you take to get here from WNC? I hear I-40 will be open on two lanes only around February, but there still is no date for the entire interstate to reopen.

I loved my Genz Benz stuff. I had combos and almost every cab and head they made. Loved it all. I didn’t replace it until Genzler stuff was available.
Long time Genz Benz user as well. But I still can't come to terms with letting my neoX 212 go. Just made it part of my "dream stack" once I got my Genzler cabs. Any excuse to show off a rig pic :)

series 1 BA 12-3 slant & strait atop neoX 212 loaded with NX2 Faitals. Wonderful modular rig that sounds fantastic imho.

I have family in middle and west TN and I-40 was the only route I've ever used. Ever since the flood I've discovered just how many routes there are! For a recent family reunion in Gatlinburg, we went through Smoky Mountain National Park. 19/23 through Cherokee will get you out of NC and 441 got us to Gatlinburg. It looks like that would take me all the way to Knoxville, right?

It will, but it also puts you through Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge with the hordes of tourists. And you probably don't want to go US 129 off the Smoky Mountain Expressway.

Don't know where you are in WNC, but the current fastest route is either on US 25 going through Marshall and Hot Springs, or up I-26 through Tri-Cities to I-81 and down.

Are there any Genzler dealers in WNC that you could get to? Probably not- I would (without checking at the moment) think there is a Genzler dealer in Charlotte.

@Kenny056 ---- If you'd like to send me a PM I can assist with any of your planned visits to a GENZLER dealer in your region. Lane Music, Knoxville, Rocked Music, Blacksburg VA, Sound Pure Durham, Bass Pluckers, Wilmington.
Happy to help.

I bought my Genzler gear from Rocket Music, Greg Bump will take care of you, Kenny. It might be easier to get up to Blacksburg as opposed to going to Knoxville. Where are you located?

I have nothing but great things to say about @RocketMusic in Blacksburg. Got to play through all three amps and a variety of cabs. They also sat down and chatted about what I need and even let me play a G. Gould bass or two.

Greg is great, has a nice shop and a good selection of Genzler gear. You should give him a call for an appointment.
