Used my old MG350/12T-V for a jazz gig at a medium crude last night. Played my Roscoe Century 5. Rode the B string hard and it sounded fantastic. I had the Gain at about 11 o’clock and the Master at about 9 o’clock. Barely on. EQ basically flat. Used my Stomp “Noble” setting. I wish I played with an amp more often. If I did I’d try to justify a Kinetix amp and maybe the new 210 ultra light series. Not as handy as the cradle/combo but I love the sound of the Kinetix head.

Yes, the 12" Drivers are rhe same used in the MG-12T-V. The same as used in the BA2-112-3 cabs. The tweeters and crossovers are different. We really like the Neo tweeter. The MG-ULV-210T uses the same 10" Neos from the Bass Array cabs. These new ULV cabs are premium kit.

I had a BA style cab for a while when they first came out. They are nice. I wanted something a little different, specially in form. I didn't like how low to the ground the cabs were. I wanted something more vertical. Then the MG12T-V showed up at my door. Try it. If you like it keep it. If not, send it back. That was years ago and I obviously still have it. It's nice to have options from the same company, one you have supported for decades, and one you can trust.

Like I've said before, if I played more often (I wish I did) with an amp, I'd lean to a Kinetics for some of that tubey goodness with probably a Magellan - ULV-210T. Maybe a ULV-112T for stacking or another stand alone option.

That’s a gorgeous rig! I love Dave’s blue Python tolex, very unique and classy! I was going to go with the vertical 48 or 410 myself, but ended up ordering 3 RS110 cabs, 1 with tweeter, 2 without. Instead of the blue Python, I chickened out and went with tweed, with black metal grill and hardware. I’m also using the MG350 for small gigs and URB. I hope those Rev cabs are sounding great for you!

So I'm a little bit obsessed with the bass arrays, but I'm debating exactly which way to go. I have the BA12 and BA210 on hand, both series 1. I prefer the 12, for its deeper extension and its more mid-forward presentation. The 210 is getting returned, for sure. One option is to get a second BA12, which will get me a very nice powerful 2x12 stack. But I just keep looking at the 4x10, which is such a high power cab with respectable reach on the low end, if not quite to the 12's level. I basically am wondering whether that 4x10's mid range is more laid back like the 2x10, or if those 6 drivers give it a stronger feel like the 12. Setting aside practical considerations, could someone talk about the tonality of the 4x10 compared to the 12?

I suppose I am qualified, seeing as I regularly play a BA12-3 (series 1) and a BA410-3. Often apart, sometimes together.
You can definitely tell a difference between the two soloed. The 410 I view as the perfect ballsy in-your-face rock cab. The 12 is overall a wonderfully sounding cab to me soloed, which I use for indoors gigs, acoustic gigs, with my upright, yes its very versatile. And yes, it has a bit more overall bottom end than the 410 when soloed (although the 410 is louder overall). Together, they are my outdoor festival rig of doom, and I love how they sound together.
I was an early adopter for the BA cabs. At one time I owned 3 12-3s. only giggled that rig once. but sold 2 of them to get me a down payment on the 410 when it came out.
that's my experience and I have had zero cab GAS going on about 10 years now.

The new cabs look very nice. I have no business upgrading at this time!

One aside, the Crash Box 4 sounds pretty great with guitar! I just tested it into my amp. I’m building out a pedal board that is agnostic! Russian big muffin pi, BYOC tube screamer, the Crash Box 4, and some dual delay/reverb pedal I’ve yet to land on.

Cannot comment on the 12....but I feel my BA410 has plenty of mid heft when I want it. I often find myself scooping some midrange a little bit to round out the sound of the cabinet. I bought that cab to be my one and done. One of my bands does country/rock and one does old school funk and R&B. A few minor knob twists and choice of instrument and you can unlock lots of tones. Just my .000002
