Gig went great. The Genzler was an improvement. I set the EQ at 12:00 and experimented with the contour. Nothing drastic; i.e., exactly what I wanted. And my Jazz bass sounded like a Jazz bass: growl where I wanted it, thump where I wanted it, and no boominess.
Generally last before amp input, for no reason other than only using a tuner otherwise. I have used compression in between, but the Ibanez AFB I play for those generally doesn't need it. DI is the MG-350, no DI pedal required. Thanks for asking.

So I have this upcoming outdoor gig in 2 weeks and we are sharing the stage with 10 other bands. Music style varies from indie folk to indie pop/rock, nothing too heavy (maybe a couple of bands, I don't know). So the organizer wants us to use whatever amps they provide to avoid switching gear between sets... And in this case, it's a Fender Rumble 100W for bass. To be honest, I don't know what to think of this (not being sarcastic):
1. I've never used Fender Rumble amps before so not sure what to expect.
2. My main rig is an MG-800 with NC-212T (MG-350 is my backup amp) — I use this rig on all of my gigs (indoor/outdoor/small to large) and I have peace of mind, not to mention the wide sound spectrum we can get with this setup combination (I guess we all know...).
3. My main concern is that I am very sceptical to use the Rumble, coming from an MG-800.
Now, since I had ordered a BA10-2-S2 cab to use it with my MG-350 as a combo (wanted to take advantage of the MG-350 and not only keep it as a backup amp), I was thinking to bring the 175W combo with me and try to talk the organizer I quickly switch amps four our set, so I can have my sound...
I know the Rumble is a 12" and I will be bringing a 10" cab, but I've never used or heard the BA series before so I don't know if the BA10-2 is a suitable choice in my situation. I don't have any other combo, and I really need to make a quick amp swap between sets, so I don't think head+cab (my MG-350+NC-112T) is an option here.
Should I stick to the Rumble 100W or is the MG-350/BA10-2-S2 combo a better choice? Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Using the Rumble would be a downgrade for sure. When playing gigs like this if the promoter is dead set on keeping the back line the same I usually try not to ruffle any feathers and go with what they have. If you can use your combo go for it!
I have a Rumble 100 that I use for rehearsals and church/small gigs. I bring a pedal board of some sort and run into the effects return. Ive listened back to recordings of it and always been happy with the results.
I also have a Magellan 800 and NC212. This is my go to setup whenever possible, so i definitely understand wanting to go with a Genzler rig of whatever variety. In the situation you describe, I would probably take my Genzler stuff and go with it if I talked to the organizer/sound engineer and it seems like a smooth enough change to make. At multi band engagements I always try to be as easy to work with as possible even if that means I dont have the exact sound I would prefer.

I thought that this would be an issue for me. But, it is an easy transition that it is very comfortable to play. My USA Lakland 55-AJ and USA Spector NS-5 have the same nut width. Lakland is 35” scale, Spector is 34” again not a huge adjustment.
I rarely get a chance to use my Genzler rig much these days. (Mostly IEM.) MG800 and three BA110's. The cabs are the original versions. And even more rare is using all three 110 cabs. But last night filling in on a reggae/dub gig I brought all three cabs. Not really for volume. More for ummph. And dear sweet Jaysus.....This rig had UMMPH.
Small/Medium room. No PA support for bass. MG800 had a slight bass boost and low mid cut. Contour B at around 9:00. P style bass with nickel rounds and the tone rolled off. I was having soooo much fun! Honestly, I thought I was a little too loud, but the rest of the band said "Nah!!" That rig wasn't even breathing hard. Notes were blooming and that head/cab combo is so punchy and full.
Anyway...Just had to share. To say I'm a satisfied Genzler customer is an understatement.

Your idea of "enough low end" might be different from mine, but ive never been unhappy with the results of using the 100. If they specifically mentioned wanting everyone to use the provided rig, I would almost certainly go that route.

I've used the Rumble 100 or the MG350/BA110 (both series 1 and series 2) on a variety of gigs. The R100 has decent low end and is a good value, but the BA110, especially the series 2, will have more low end. Speaker size does not necessarily predict the amount of low end.

I had a gig at a local carnival that I was told had a “full backline”. It ended up being a fender rumble 100. I went back and forth on whether or not to bring my Magellan 800 with a 102 bass array, an easy schlep. I went with the rumble due to the fact the guitarists were using the backine too.
All that being said the rumble was fine. Overall the sound on stage was terrible and the guitarists backine amps were worse but the rumble was adequate. It has a di so foh had what they needed.
I would recommend looking up what a flat response is on those amps. I think it’s bass 10, hi lo mids 2 and treble 2.
What I've read multiple places - Flat is 10 / 2 / 2 / 10 (Bass through Treble).
I use a Two Notes Opus modeler into the R100c FX Return (bypassing the preamp altogether).
I replaced the OEM driver with a Celestion BN12-300S (4) and it sounds very good and louder than stock (also lighter)!
The best tone I got out of the Rumble 800 and the 100 that I owned was when I sold them and bought GK combos to replace them. The GK's are great AS LONG AS YOU KEEP THE CONTOUR AND BOOST OFF!!!!
The Rumble baked in tone might work okay with something like a Precision bass. Those amps sounded pretty good in some venues and in others it was impossible to get even okay tone.

Ok, that makes sense. I've got the Magellan 800, but don't really use the overdrive.
Yes. IMHO your combo will blow that Rumble away. Try to talk the organizer into using it as the backline for the show. Others will thank you as well.
