As a plumber with over 40 years of experience , I would like to take this opportunity to fully explain the function of a bidet (having installed about 50 of them over the years. )
Remember the nights when you came home really drunk? You would kneel down in front of the toilet and release a stream of bodily fluid and then thank the toilet for being nice and cold? Well , after blasting puke down your chin and out your nose , you could simply slide a few inches over to the low level drinking fountain and easily clean yourself up. The temperature is adjustable so after a nice warm cleanup you could cool it down and get a nice refreshing drink and even soak your head if you felt the need. If your head was throbbing , you could warm it back up and let the healing warm waters run over your neck and head.
Glad I had a chance to clear all of this up.

Sometimes this place just gives me fits. I feel like I just got done chewing out a bunch of kids messing up the place. Is this joint going to heck in a hand basket or is it just me? So the kids just discovered the new 1000 watt Nobel Dclass amp (with the new Nobel Preamp) and it's like a pack of vultures descends to give their peanut gallery opinions without giving the thing a good look or ask an intelligent question or two before dissing it. The clips of his pre are great. I was one of the first to criticize his price increase and he (owner Jack Roan) showed up to explain and defend the move and not only convinced me it was a sound move but made me want one even more. His candor was refreshingly straightforward and impressive for a new member. I've gotten pretty good at ignoring what I consider superfluous threads but sometimes stuff just frys my can. ........ok Kirk just relax..... Step away from the ledge....
Thanks I feel better now.

Don't take it so personal. List $2399.00 ($1999.00 "pre order") for a two tube preamp and 1kw class D amp that is made to look like an old Marshall amp head (even with a "standby" switch) raises eyebrows. If the man can make a short term living on his sales more power to him. I don't think posting it here in the mainstream does him any real service. Might pickup a sale or two, but the price of public scrutiny will have to be paid?

If they offer it , the pineapple flavored flushing drink was pretty palatable. The actual test wasn't bad. They loaded me up with drugs , put me to sleep , and i don't remember a thing. It's the night before and the 6 hours spent on the can that got to me. After a couple of hours I was apologizing to my butt hole. It didn't accept it. Vasiline is your friend.

No flavor options on the two step Suprep. Thanks for the Vaseline tip, sleep might never have happened.
They seem to think I will forget this all in 10 years and be back, hope they didn't put any money bets on that. @wcriley the Suprep allows one coffee no milk or nondairy creamer, little conciliation with the nausea :(

For all the joking please know that this is serious business. My mother didn't get a colonoscopy out of fear or embarrassment. When she finally got it done after getting sick, it was too late. She died three months after the diagnoses aged 73. A baseball sized cancerous tumor. The cancer had already spread to her liver. If it had been caught in time it would have been treatable as she had been in otherwise very good health.

Sorry for being so morbid, but the world needs bass players. 'Specially old ones to show the young whippersnappers how it is done.

Agreed, an older engineer friend of mine lost his wife in much the same way, she wasn't quite 70 yet.

I just reminded my wife that it was that magic year for her to experience that special joy... you guys (of that age) should as well, along with brothers & sisters, and friends.

Yes a good friend and guitarist put his off for 12 years. He started his second round of chemo this week with stage 4. It is no joke.

As we are all getting older, we are lucky enough to live in a day and age where advances in detection and treatment of medical issues can keep us going at lot longer than in the past. These days I try to strike a balance between being a hypochondriac and a responsible senior citizen. I have joked before that "if I knew I was gonna live this long, I woulda taken a lot better care of myself". As a survivor of the 60's and 70's and surviving 17 years in our business and all its occupational hazards I find myself now with a hell of a lot to live for. I am happily married (finally) to a wonderful woman 25 years my junior and we have a great 14 year old daughter. I ain't going anywhere if I can help it. So now I am committed to get as much mileage as I can out of this old carcass.

Oh yeah, I saw the movie "Bucket List" for the first time a few weeks ago. Jack Nicholson's character had a set of rules for being an old guy:
1.) Never pass a restroom.
2.) Never trust a f*rt.
3.) Never waste a h*rd*n.

Hope I didn't offend anybody
