An old high school friend had a blue sparkly one, a Kustom 200 (IIRC) with a matching 2-15 cabinet. He was the one who started me down the path of Rickenbackers.
Shortly after that, I got my hollowbody 4005WB.I knew a guy from Grunt-Upon-Twine.
Both my aforementioned 4005WB and the Höfner 500/1V63 I had were both true hollow bodies, no wimpy center blocks in those, sir!
They did tend to feedback at very high volumes (what, speak up, sonny!) But, at least in the case of the 4005WB, I was able to use it quite effectively, when needed. It only did so on the A at the 14th fret of the G string (useful when soloing).My SO's father took care of that problem in the mid 1950s when he installed the Bozak 302 in the fireplace.

Glad I left just in time (summer 1990).
I had a nice Sunburst EB2 mid Sixties. I wondered what was under the plastic plate that was installed under the hand rest. I discovered it was a tone coil that was wired across the pickup. Disconnecting it brought the whole bass alive. I installed a three way toggle switch that enabled the coil to be in series with the pickup, in parallel as original and disconnected. Gave three distinct tonalities. Unfortunately the bass was stolen soon after which is when I bought my used 63 Precision. Met my wife playing that bass!

The Analogues, are a Dutch Beatles tribute band. Geoff Emerick saw them and gushed, “I’ve witnessed something I never really thought I’d be able to witness again.”
If you want to see the Beatles, go to a McCartney concert, if you want to hear the Beatles live, go see The Analogues.
Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band was released almost 53 years ago. I’ll always remember listening to the record for the first time with my band. I remember thinking, how in the world is a four piece ever going to do these songs.
