Well, those of us of Polish persuasion have our own anthem with a similar theme.

You need to listen to this song after 8 or 9 Miller Lites. You WILL warm up to it. :roflmao:

My grandparents used to live kitty-corner to a Polish social hall. Every weekend there was one celebration or another going on, usually with live music. The accordion bands back in the early 60’s were LOUD, so were the crowds. From the wings of the stage, it was a real education watching the bands entertain. Needless to say, the food was always amazing.

By accident I opened a link to our local Craigslist Musicians section. There was a bass player wanted advert for the band that I failed the auction for. For interest I emailed them. The lady singer called me back and it turned out the sparkling new bass player wasn’t able to commit to play gigs. I asked why they didn’t call me and she told me that the drummer/band leader didn’t feel that I would lock in to him! Say what?? I think that I am better off out of it. They mostly play downtown Toronto gigs - for tips! Probably why the new guy bailed! There’s nothing so weird as folk!

Lemme guess- they are all younger?

That's weird then. But, like you said, people are weird.

Replied to you before I saw his reply. ... and yet it's very difficult to prove discrimination - age, gender, anything. Especially in creative lines of work. Uncertain why this has to be spelled out Wheaton's Law

Why not post an ad on CL looking for a drummer and guitarist to jam with and possibly form a band. IF necessary, offer them whatever the local gigging rate is. See how it goes. If it clicks, ask them if they want to form a band. When you find a paying gig, maybe they’ll consider joining you.
