Does anyone else find it weird that they call it a "stock" car yet Ford doesn't make a 2-door Fusion?

Is there anything "stock" on/in them (the NASCAR "stock" cars)?
I think there was a time that ran through the early 70's when in order to race in the stock car class a company actually had to produce (for public sale) some number of that vehicle. There is a reason that there are a limited number of some fairly unusual cars from that period.

Like many of us, I'm from an age where if you were driving a 4 door, it was your "oldie's" car.

My ship hit the port of Middlesboro, England while I was aboard. Hit a few pubs to say the least. The Brits take on American beer? "wind and water"
At one of our regular gigs, we get a free beer. I'd never had a Corona, so I ordered one-without the lime. It came with one anyway(is that a rule?). I took it out, wiped the neck, and took a swig.........Then I put the lime back in and took another swig......Then I left it on the bar.:spit: Unfortunately, they don't stock a Porter.:(

Yep:.Invalid Link Removed .

But the topper was probably when Toyota came into NASCAR and wasn't even producing any V-8 passenger cars (IIRC), and had to convert the Camry from front to rear wheel drive and use the Toyota Tundra engine block to make a race motor.

I never drank a Corona. I never understood having to put fruit in a beer.
