Actually, these quibbles are all meaningless.
NASCAR uses a spec chassis. You read that right- every Ford, Chevy and Toyota in the series runs the same tube frame, brakes and running gear.
As far back as 1989, GM cars were running the roof, hood, and rear deck from V6-powered front-wheel-drive models. Those three pieces were the only parts that still had anything to do with production vehicles. By 2003, even that requirement was gone. Two-door vs 4-door is also a moot point, since doors are not a feature of the composite body shells.
You can forget about stock engines, too. NASCAR engines are built to a formula as well. Teams can only purchase engines from one of 5 approved builders (that's not necessarily a Ford engine in that Fusion). All of them feature an iron block, 358c.i. displacement, the same valve train layout (2-valve pushrod), and the same induction (EFI). Valve sizes, bore and stroke, etc., are all tightly regulated.
So no, that's not an aluminum-block, double overhead cam Tundra engine in the Toyota, and no Camrys were harmed in the making of the first Toyota-branded Cup Car...
