Get off my LAWN! "Grumpy Old Farts"

There's always a pecking order as to who gets to board a flight first.

There was a new one last week, musicians with instruments were invited right after people needing assistance.
This almost made me drop my coffee cup. Someone must have read that memo wrong. Isn't there a law on the books that we are always to be treated like second class citizens, no matter the circumstance?

I am exceptionally grumpy this morning, even for a Grumpy Old Fart. Staying at a client's house and if I am lucky, when I go back home this morning, our new temporary housemate will be in his own room and not asleep on my sofa. He was given an air mattress and enough floor space to make it work last night but when I left he was still not properly installed. However, chicken marsala for dinner did make up for a lot.

Yeah, when I left he had a chicken soup going for today; he made stock from Monday's chicken bones. So far I'm still feeling in the win/win column, but it's early yet.
It's likely to get sticky as soon as he, hubby, and I all want to use the rehearsal studio at the same time. Hubby and I used to have separate areas for individual practice, but all my practice stuff has been moved to the rehearsal studio to make room for The Chef. The Chef also keeps his electronic drums set up in the rehearsal studio.

Two drummers and a bass player walked into a studio and all wanted to play different songs. Sounds like a bad start to a bad joke.

There are three cats where I am staying this morning. One is a kitten who is currently unhappy because he's confined to a room so that I can have five minutes without being tortured. My friend for whom I am petsitting tells me the other two have "never given her any love." I am not going to break her heart by telling her that one of those two has been glued to me for three days with nonstop attention and purring. That would be cruel.

^ and very much reminded of a night at a friendly lemonade stand [long ago]. The gentleman I was with told the manager - speaking as my legal representative - I need a bologna and whipped cream sandwich. The manager cut a deal; if we showed up for breakfast, they'd have one ready.
My dad had a saying in reference to putting too much effort into something of questionable value: "It's like putting whipped cream on poop. It doesn't help the poop and ruins the whipped cream."

A friend had three cats. When nobody was home, they had to be locked in separate rooms, otherwise there would be some serious fights. He thought that they'd kill each other.

She has two dogs like this. They have their yard split in half so that they can be on different sides and not kill each other. They are not allowed in the house at the same time.

A vet that did well on a trinket. This is a watch that you don't want to put on your wrist. Not that your wrist is poo but it would degrade it.

The Shadows were the band that got me started in 1962. Still at Grammar School three guys asked me to join their band on bass. The lead guitarist showed me my first riffs. After working my Summer Holiday at a potato farm I bough a VOX Clubman 2, two pickups, in white. We played shows in Old Folks Homes and at school. My Dad, a semi-proffesioal Bass Vocalist, did not approve of the solid body.
