Those that experienced it are getting fewer in number. Very few of those that stormed the beaches of France are able to tell their story. This past week marked seventy five years since the liberation of the WWII death camps.

All hard lessons that should never be forgotten. Unfortunately, humanity has still has a long way to go.

For what it's worth, my oldest son (E7, CPO) did 2 deployments on the USS George H.W. Bush (CVN-77)
and 3 on "The Big Stick", USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN-71) including an 11 month round the world tour when the vessel was transferred from the Atlantic fleet (Norfolk) to Pacific command (San Diego).

The internet is backed up. Here is one example The Wayback Machine: Internet Archive: Wayback Machine, about Internet Archive: About IA. Governments also back up the internet and perform extensive data mining.

I use the web archive to recover long removed pages that were on defunct sites. An example: At one point TalkBass lost all my images in the Portaflex Wiki during a system upgrade (Ampeg Portaflex Wiki | TalkBass.com). Due to a technical glitch, they were never backed up. I had the originals but organization was lacking. Using The Wayback Machine to see an old instance of the site made recovery a lot easier. I was able to cut and paste it back together. Still a long process but way easier.

It's been said before in this thread and I will add to it. Getting older ain't always fun.

Tomorrow I check into the local cancer center for infusion therapy. I am NOT dealing with the big C. Rather, I am dealing with other health issues that are typically treated in the same facility.

I get to be treated with heavy duty immunosuppressants via IV. I get the same treatment 2 weeks out, 4 weeks out, and then every 8 weeks thereafter.

Assuming I feel like it, I'll check in tomorrow evening.

Sorry to hear it. I also have issues with my immune system and I'm lucky that they are not worse. There are people with these same problems who can't even get out of bed. I still get to play music and sort of work (very part time) but the price I pay for that is continuous exhaustion. I'm functional though, so I count my blessings.

Hope the infusion doesn't leave you in a bad state. Feel better soon and pop round when you can.

Yep, yep. I have been trying to get into better physical shape in order to make gigging easier. Used to be that three days of doing the same thing over again would produce a noticeable result in the plus column. Nowadays it seems no matter what I do, it's not really getting any easier. Not liking this.

No offense intended and Not trying be a know it all but my EB3 hadn't arrived when this picture was taken. That is my 2019 SG Standard at a point I felt a EB3 was out of the question. I have wanted, dreamed, and drooled over a EB3 for 50 years after putting my hands on my Cousins '69 in 1970. Never thought being an owner would be a reality. I will get my daughter to snap a pic with me and the EB3 I found in Pa sitting in the attic for 45 years. I will add a stand alone right now though.

I don't know about the bridge. I actually didn't know that it wasn't Gibson. 50 years is a long time to remember. Yes the switches are also for going in and out of Phase. All it does though is cause all sorts of noise. I had to learn about the Dimarzio Model 1 and as I was told that is a 1972 pickup. But I did run across a '69 Mudbucker and it is currently being restored back to original.
