Gibby EB-3-my first bass(wish I still had it).
Uhhhh, NO!
Yeah, and she can't be a museum. She was built around the reactor. No way to remove it. There's been talk of saving the island, but a fairly recent pic showed it already partially dismantled. BTW, my first ship was USS Yorktown, CV(S)10, now a museum in Charleston, SC, coincidentally my last duty station. I got to take my family aboard ~34 years after my 6 month deployment in 66.Broke my heart when she was decommissioned. Never served on her USS Coral Sea CVA47. Ships Sec Force.
Threw a Ensigns shot record over the side. Tried to make me clean Butt Kicks.

It's been said before in this thread and I will add to it. Getting older ain't always fun.
Tomorrow I check into the local cancer center for infusion therapy. I am NOT dealing with the big C. Rather, I am dealing with other health issues that are typically treated in the same facility.
I get to be treated with heavy duty immunosuppressants via IV. I get the same treatment 2 weeks out, 4 weeks out, and then every 8 weeks thereafter.
Assuming I feel like it, I'll check in tomorrow evening.
Many positive thoughts headed toward you.....It's been said before in this thread and I will add to it. Getting older ain't always fun.

I'm creaking more every year. I never thought I'd get out of the recliner like my dad did lol... I look at my wrinkled hands and think--- who's hands are those?????"Age" is the singularly most difficult diagnosis I've been given.
That was 2-3 years ago as the doctor said, "arthritis". I must have appeared incredulous, because I was. And she replied, "you're old."
And never had thought of it that way, for that's not really how I see myself. And yet ...
