Happy Soulful Sunday...
Most of JB's records were recorded in Cincinnati at King Records. The original backing musicians weren't given any credit as they were a group of staff musicians working for WLW and WLWT. Almost all of them were graduates of CCM at the University of Cincinnati.
Nice way to say "I'm the star" (and you aren't).
Fortunately, they were supplied backline so I didn't have to haul them around (the amp was mine, though). Frankly (or, otherwise), I can't really say as I was wearing earplugs, or remember what they sounded like (remember GOF, here, with GOF ears). Just like, when folks ask me how this rig sounded.

Today is day 33, there are 333 days left in this leap year. The date is 0202 2020. Next Sunday is a full moon. Not sure which day will turn out to be more significant.
I went to CCM in the mid '70s.Almost all of them were graduates of CCM at the University of Cincinnati.
I left after four quarters...I was graduated from UC, but not CCM.
Not again! And in less than 3 hours (ET), the time will be 20:20:20.

I took a yoga class as a humanities option, you got to grade yourself so I got an A. I took the class again while enrolled in another course with the blessing of both teachers. I gave myself an A again.
Did you squeeze the wheeze?
Could you do that online?I took a yoga class as a humanities option, you got to grade yourself so I got an A. I took the class again while enrolled in another course with the blessing of both teachers. I gave myself an A again.
No information I'm afraid.....
Got some unwanted advice though.....
NEVER make life changing decisions that affect your bass on scotch and painkillers.....![]()
Godspeed on your healing process. Sounds like you deserve some happy time.Good morning GOF's. Been out of circulation for a few days. Seems I'm one of the lucky odds beaters that got the flu despite having had a flu shot. Apparently this years recipe was only about 30% effective. Felt ill at rehearsal Wednesday night. Stopped on the way home from work Thursday morning and grabbed some Nyquil and sudafed type stuff as I thought maybe I was coming down with the same cold the wife has been fighting. After a dose of the Nyquil I slept fitfully for about 6 hours and awoke feeling like I had been hit by a truck... a very LARGE truck. Got my poopy together enough to drag my butt down to the nearest urgent care facility. Although the swab they did came back negative for flu (they are only about 70% accurate), the Doctor was pretty sure it was the flu and prescribed Tamiflu.
They do say getting the shot helps even if the strains are wrong and I think they must be correct. After about 36 hours of misery I felt things turn around quite rapidly and tonight I'm back at work, albeit a little weaker than usual. I'm thankful that some combination of the shot, the Tamiflu, and/or my prodigious immune system () kept this from turning into the 5-7 day death-grip that the flu usually entails. I always get a flu shot and haven't had the flu in many years.
Moral of the story: GET YOUR FLU SHOT! They help even when they guess wrong on the strains.
