TalkBass bans words that punctuate a sentence, punctuating characters are allowed. When spoken, bang is commonly used in place of "exclamation mark". In morse code ! is dah-di-dah-di-dah-dah

TB may have software that ensures that this sort of word punctuation is not used. I don't know what punctuating words are not allowed. (BTW, I find a more dignified way to express myself than using foul language). George Carlin used to do a bit, the seven dirty words that you can't say on tv. I'm sure that there are more today. The original FCC Indecency Policy was struck down in 2011. The internet has unleashed a torrent.

My mother always told me to save my saucy language for when I mean it. Otherwise it loses the intended impact. Some people collect choice words in multiple languages to keep at the ready. Best kept in the wardrobe, those fauns just freak out.

Apparently sailors swear a lot. I don't know if it is a prerequisite for the job or sailors are trained by shipboard parrots. I knew a petite angelic girl in college that could swear like a sailor. I don't know how she picked that up, she was too young to have served.

Yes we do. For some reason it seems to be a prerequisite. Perhaps it's the weeks spent at sea with nothing and no one to look at or speak too except the same people and places. I learned some of those words in many different languages from French to Vietnamese. Personally, I think these words sound worst in Greek.
