It does, indeed. If I had liquid assets, I could take advantage of that, but alas. Hopefully it won't be too horrid when all is said and done.Well, you haven't actually lost anything yet.
This pullback, due to fears of supply line interruptions, offers a great buy in opportunity.
Six months after the beer bug peters out you'll be back to square one, plus some.
If it doesn't peter out....then it won't matter much, will it?

That's an exhibit I would gladly browse. Here in the future, browsing museums is one of those pleasures I can enjoy again, what with knees I can walk on
(unsolicited advice: if any need two full knee replacements, do both at the same time. If you do one, you will not wish to repeat the experience for the other. Then you'll be left with one good knee and one bum knee. And a lot of cussing.)
The Proof exhibit is still going on, so, catch 'em both while you can!

Major medical advancements always seems to be just around the corner. Unfortunately, we seem to only progress by small increments at a time. Computer technology progresses by huge leaps and bounds. Imagine being able to employ virtual reality to visit anywhere, see any event. A wayback machine to visit a rendition of the past.
Computer technology is opening the doors to medical breakthroughs. I look forward to the day when molecule sized robots will be able to fix all within us. People are actually working on this. Some day, we’ll get there.

There is an autodoc in Larry Niven's Ringworld universe that repairs and restores the physical body. It's a coffin-looking thing. However long it takes (depends on the extent of the damage), when it's done you come out better than ever. Turns out (spoiler) it's important to know who programs the autodoc, and important to know their agenda. "Better than ever" often has a catch. Ask Louis Wu.

One of the problems I have with science fiction is there are very few fictional universes I'd want to live in. So many of the novels start with, wind up in, or are in endless war. Sometimes, peaceful species run into others who just declare war, and then we're all having a space war. Again. Not really certain what people believe space is for?
There is also the Robert Heinlein school of 13 year old male fantasy, and complete inability to create any female character that's not a cardboard cutout. Take any female character is any Heinlein novel and it's easy to see they're all interchangeable. Master of 2 dimensional characters .... (and dopey "philosophies")
Verner Vinge is outstanding, though. Great fun.

One of my favorite authors/book series. Irritates the crap out of me that The Ringworld Throne is currently not available for my Kindle.
Have you read any Peter F. Hamilton? The Foreigner series by C. J. Cherryh is good too. Interaction with aliens and alien ways with very little "hard" science to detract from the psychology involved.
We really do have one of the finest art museums in the world, and it happens be next door to one of the finest symphony halls in the world, Severance Hall, home of The Cleveland Orchestra, who just happen to be one of the world's finest orchestras in the world. Who wodda' thunk it!
And depending on the traffic, we could drive there in five to ten minutes, even go through Little Italy if we want to on our way, and stop at Corbos to pick up a great cassata cake to take home with us.

Your strings probably cost more than my current Sterling by Music Man SubRay4 bass.The extra-longs worked perfectly on my long-scale Dingwall. I'd forgotten how nice these feel under the fingers. Now it's even more black & blue.

ATM all of the reading here is written by Neil Gaiman, confirmed fountain pen writer. He actually does write his work, longhand, with fountain pens. Neil sometimes wanders into scifi. "How to Talk to Girls at Parties" is a short story that comes highly recommended for Neil Gaiman noobs.
