The green I saw in pix is sufficiently dark to not look green.I like this finish much more than the green. I'm just not a green guy.You might check how well the A string is seated in the nut.

Yeah, we put the guitar players and singers facing the bass-n-drums wall of doom. Somehow it works, but it's not easy.

Hmm. I never had any problems with the 105 on my Ibby. My problem was that even tho the bass is 30.5" scale, it takes medium length strings lest the silks overhang the nut on E and G. Fortunately, the seller took the open "short scale" package back and sent the "mediums".
Length can be a problem with those. Gotta measure carefully. See previous post.Great minds.

The .105 that came with my tapes rode high in the nut. Noticed that a long time after I should have, and didn't feel I wanted to take the bass to Santa's Workshop. Also at play was the desire to try flats. This from a gal who said "no short scales, no flats".

Not at home at the moment, I'll hafta look and see if they ride high. I'd like to try LB's-nylon or DTF's-but can't find the medium scale strings. Always 'outta stock'.
The extra-longs worked perfectly on my long-scale Dingwall. I'd forgotten how nice these feel under the fingers. Now it's even more black & blue.

I used to watch all those old VP films back in the day. My film collector friend has the "whole set" in 35MM.
Alembic and Rick Turner headstocks are "grafted on", too. Scarf joints (don't try smoking them).
