Tonight home-style spaghetti and meatballs, salad, Parmesan toasted bread. Outshine Popsicle for dessert. Then some TV. Might doze a bit. Sneak peeks at TB.

:: did not know what an Outshine Popsicle is ::
As you all know, I'm Alaska Native. We have what we call "Indian Time." It ranges from 15-30 minutes late depending on the importance of event. If it's a non Native event, we try to be on time. Unusual for me is that I leave no later than 7:35am every morning and end up being at work around 7:50 after a McD's stop for a sangwich. I used to be late all the time when I was young but the Army broke me of that. Now that I'm older I'm involved with Native events and I can relax back into "Indian Time." But I feel uncomfortable doing it.
Any job where you get to take a siesta after lunch is alright with me.
I'm with you on this. I'd prefer "standard time" be changed to permanent DST so that we can still be sipping margaritas by the pool in the daylight at 9:00pm during the summer, myself. I don't see why we have any need to change back; time change is an artifact from the days when most people had family farms. We haven't lived in that world for a good long while now.I wish that they would leave it all year. The concept has run it’s course. I hate the change.
Yeah, that's what a lot of people don't like. I don't mind getting up and out in the dark, if it means poolside margaritas later, but I'm sort of almost retired and not so worried about that, since I'm not really a morning person. It also means kids going to school in the dark, which worries parents some!Permanent DST also means starting your day in the dark in the winter months. Gonna pass on that, sidereal time for me, please.
and a wish for a happy, healthy Soulful Sunday, from my home to yours...
All I ask is one or the other. IDC which. Flori-duh politicians put forth a proposal to leave it one way or t'other every year(twice)too late to pass and get signed into law.Yeah, that's what a lot of people don't like. They'll do it again at the next change.DSOTM sounds as good now as when it was first released. Thanks for posting.
Pink Floyd "Dark Side of the Moon" and Rush "Moving Pictures" are on my list of all-time favorite albums. I want to add "Wish You Were Here" on that list, too.
