First: HAPPY ST. PADDY'S DAY ALL!

Then: I have a number of non functional bass necks that for some reason I am unable to throw away or use for kindling and they are taking up space. One of my remaining live cells fired and I thought as a novelty item how about a cane or walking stick from a bass neck. I wonder what it would take to make it functional. I googled the concept but all that came up were canes in the shape of guitars or a cane that was also a bass or a guitar. Then the other living cell fired and I got the thought ask the GOF's. Someone there should have an answer of some type.
Eagerly awaiting to see what response I will receive.

Is there a local luthrie, trade, or shop class school that you can donate them to?

Otherwise, donate them to an artist, build a a lamp, a key holder, a hat rack, remove the fingerboard and use the wood to make a nice box.

On donating them I will have to wait for the Covid panic to subside as all schools including the university are closed.
I really like the lamp.
My bass teacher mentioned kindling.
