I miss a dial tone.

I bought a 1930's Western Electric model 202 phone last year with a separate ringer box, it's clearer than my cell phone. When it rings it sounds like an old movie. I think we still have a dial phone in MA.

Very similar to this, I think the one I have is nicer than this one though:

I have no idea if kids say "bad" anymore. I have no idea what is current in regards to slang used by young people other than "obvi".

My 10 year old granddaughter is of the opinion that I am so far out of date that I am both hopeless and decidedly unhip.

Do kids still say "hip"?
No. Mostly GOF's, as in "I broke a..."

Tommy Tedesco on guitar.

I used to look forward to Tommy's Guitar Player articles. Each month he would go into a session he was on, giving background, what instrument he played, and the actual sheet music with his notes. It was like being a fly on the wall during the recording of so many well known songs.

hey Bob, where in pa are you? not that we could get together with social distancing and all........
I am sorry but I a not in Pa.My sister is. She is in Quaker town. I am in No. Nevada. I was referring to the song 867-5309. When Tommy Tutone had such a huge hit with it the 6 people who had that number in the state of Pennsylvania, received so many calls asking for Jenny Jenny the Govenor at the time removed it from use and banned it from ever being used again. We "Best Coster's" thought that was pretty funny. But if I should ever make it out that way I promise to give you a headsup and the favorite beverage will be on me. I get out to Harvey's Lake and Quaker Town every once and a while.
Bob
