There was a grocery chain in FL years ago that put out an ad of specials each week. The weeks b4 Easter, they had ads that included ham. The paper put out a special edition for the large Jewish community in Miami. Someone forgot to proofread that b4 printing, so the ad read "Kosher For Passover" and included a beautiful picture of a ham. There were complaints.
I'm under the traffic pattern for the Stuart,FL, airport. There are a coupla flight schools there and they've been pretty busy. I know from my own experience that there damn sure isn't 6' between the seats in a Cessna 150. Just sayin'.

I can tell you exactly what happened. That's not one of my newspapers, but I've seen happen in one form or another at other papers so many times I stopped wondering. TL;DR it goes all the way to the top.
I can't speak for his approach angle, but the way his dive brakes are deployed looks like he's dragging a couple of Steinbergers with him!
It was in the 60's-Miami Herald.

Very few professional dealings with any papers in Florida, except one by proxy. I knew what was going on there, was happily elsewhere. I did get flown down to a hoity-toity paper to interview for a prestigious job and we all agreed not today. Would not have been a good fit.
Back then, The Herald and The Miami News(afternoon paper-are there any of those left?)each had their own facility and presses. News moved in with Herald. Herald building was blown up in the last episode of "Burn Notice". I worked outta there taking out bundles of The News in the 80's.

That newspapers exist anymore at all is amazing to me. More than once I've looked at the local paper and decided they need to be taken down for journalistic malpractice.
Ham wouldn't be kosher. I live nearby and shop in a neighborhood where most practice hasidism. Never a conflict with kosher and non kosher grocery adverts.

Good voice and performance but the accordion doesn't fit well.
Seen in an article in the biggest daily in my state, The Des Moines Register".. he wanted to interject some money into the economy." Do newspapers no longer employ proofreaders and editors? That line would have gotten the freshman sports writer on my high school paper beaten, humiliated, and replaced.

The number of journalists empowered to care have been systematically purged for decades. What we see now is by design.
ah, but, is it an existential threat? That's one I see putatively educated journalists dropping all the time.

News is a product. Different owners demand different ends and goals. Plan A may be to win everything they want, while Plan B may be to settle for a big enough piece to make the investment worthwhile. Patty Hearst heard the burst of Roland's Thompson gun and bought it.
