Brother Spakda, I was just thinking I hadn't heard from you in a while. Glad you are well and had a great trip! I didn't know they had many whale sharks in the "Deep South" of the Phils. It's a big tourist industry in Bicol. For those who have not seen the beauty of these endangered critters, up close or by the Internet:

Last time I was in a small bonka boat was going across Taal lake to ride a kabayo up the volcano. That is a sight to see. It's the worlds smallest active volcano. When you look down into it, you see a small lake with a micro island in it. That is a very small island, in a small lake, in a small volcano, on a small island, in a large lake, on a large island, in a large ocean, on a medium sized planet. When it gets grumpy, they evacuate the volcanic island. During modern history, no one on the small island has survived. People go down into the sulfur lake and swim for fun or magical healing. I didn't. Interestingly, as I was admiring the view, two WW2 fighters in beautiful condition flew over nice and low. What a sight! There is a flight museum somewhere nearby. Snorkeling in the area, in a reserve, we had a larger bonka boat, over ten years ago. I don't think I could do as well getting in and out today. Also rented a jet-ski, which was a hoot on the ocean waves.
