I was watching this show on I don't know.. history channel maybe.. (No it was Netflix) , (actually, it was a Mini Series on what channel I can't remember!) about the Cathars and this show was trying to imply that the Cathars were destroyed by the Templars.. ummm I don't think so!

My dad, a Math- a-matition, ran an analog computer at the small college was a professor at. The priests made xmas reaths from old cards.
Sadly, the history is foggy and altered by alterior motive as they grew more powerful than those who all but eliminated them. Maybe the mystery makes it more interesting. Just like the little green man that visits me. Ferries wear boot yah know.

Hey GOF's, what's with the increasing disrespectful behavior we are seeing more of on some of these requests for help threads? And, folks who post something that is totally and factually wrong while trying to "help" get all butt-hurt over being called on it or anything that questions their understanding (or lack thereof) rather than stop and think that maybe they would have been better off stepping back and researching the subject more BEFORE opening their mount and posting nasty responses???
I see this more and more, like the dumbing down of society. This does not bode well for the future, there are so many opportunities to learn yest so few grasping the value of these opportunities. In fact, they seem to be happy or proud in their own ignorance without knowing that they have no idea what they don't know.

I would rather be called out if I'm wrong, hopefully not too butt hurt, but if it has to hurt it has to hurt. I might question why, but respectfully.
A lot of the focus seems to pick apart the OP any way they can. If not the OP, get someone trying to help. Not because they are wrong, but because of semantics or something. I see a LOT of questions or answers where I know exactly what they mean, maybe they didn't use perfect communication but it's pretty clear to me, and they essentially get flamed.
Then speakon-boy... another chapter in asking for help: I've tried that, I've tried that, I've tried that, I'VE TRIED THAT!!! I KNOW EVERYTHING, I'VE TRIED THAT, READ THE WHOLE THREAD TWICE AND ANSWER THE QUESTION I NEVER ASKED. I'M NOT YELLING!!!!!

Like you wouldn't believe if you haven't been there. And then you can find out that modern medicine offers many choices, all bad. You just get to try and pick which crapshoot to shoot craps in and nobody will offer any useful advice on the choices, lest you should sue them later. But none of the options are good.
I was wondering the same thing. The crux of the trouble might lead to a rules violation for political content, but I agree "dumbing down of society" fits. I don't understand the obstinate and unyielding pride attached to incorrect positions or "beliefs". For heaven's sake if you don't WANT to learn, DON'T ASK THE DARN QUESTION.
I find it amazing how bold some of these internet guppies have become. Dumbing down seems a bit moderate for some of these people. Stupified seems to be a more accurate term. If ignorance is bliss , there are an incredible amount of happy people on the webs.

On another note, trying to learn Champagne Jam is making me grumpy! All these years, what I thought was the right way, may not be.. my hearing has always sucked.. but apparently with this song, I was way off! But then again, I laid in bed and thought, dang it, that chart on line is not coexisting with that I am hearing.. not one iota! And that is what is making me grumpy!

I never understood anger behind religion and politics. Or other beliefs for that matter.
