Get off my LAWN! "Grumpy Old Farts"

The younger kids got relegated to the TV tables, adults sat at the main dining table. I don’t mind using a cafeteria tray held on my lap. Any dogs present know exactly who to hang out with. We have a great time together.

TV tables originated when TV's were so expensive and heavy. TV tables were easier to set up for those times, without DVR's and VCR's, when you couldn't miss your chosen program.

I remember those times but, look what we have now :eyebrow:!

^ I have a commode built into a Frasier's dad style Lay-z-Boy with what we Brits call optics on the wall behind to dispense alcoholic beverages, and one of those sushi trains delivering a selection of snacks. The remote is glued to the armrest on one side and there's a TP roll holder on the other.

Job done.

You know what they say...pics or it didn't happen ;).

That sounds like some throne. I imagine you leaning back to raise the footrest so that one has access to service the chamber pot.

You must have been one of the guests at the house party in The Exterminating Angel!

I had to see which would be better. So today I bought a slab of spare ribs and a slab of baby back ribs. Baby back has some tender loin meat attached. Spare ribs have the pork belly (bacon) meat. Both will be slow cooked with my home made rib sauce. A little sauce is also good on rice. Have a mess of fresh green beans waiting.

My vote is on the spare ribs! Tonight we're doing our Friday dinner-- ribeye and king crab legs. I get the ribeye, and Carey gets the king crab. I might get a sliver of king if she's feeling generous.
