As teens, my dearest friend and I sat on the kerb and barked at cars.
When my friends and I were young hippyoids we used to hang around the town common on the park benches, the local constabulary did not like us at all and used to try to sneak up on us all the time at the back of the common in their cruisers and just sit there and watch us which we thought was kind of funny. Another one of the things they did for amusement was jump out of their cruisers and tell us all to get off the sidewalk and sit down and they'd then drive off. One time they did this and turned right around to make sure we had and we had all climbed the trees and they were scratching their heads, "Where did those $$#@@#^^ kids go??". One big fashion among us was to walk across the road with our arms around each other but the best thing we did was find an old washing machine box and put the shortest kid in it and we would walk him around with a leash attached to the box, none of these things amused the boys in blue though, they had no sense of humor.
We used to call them porcine names when they drove by and they'd slam on the brakes and of course try to figure out who had said it, they actually arrested one of us once for that and I was a 16 year old who ended up as a scared witness in court who kept kicking the witness box as I tried to answer questions I was so nervous, the lawyer for some reason didn't need me again. They actually put a little blue piggy bank on their dashboards after a while

.
I don't know why they didn't like us after all it wasn't like the police station was right across the street..... it was.
I once thought it would be be very funny to sneak up behind one of my compatriots and wake him up with a firecracker blown up under his bench, he didn't like it and neither did the police, they arrested me for possession of fireworks, I don't know how they did though, I blew up the only one I had. I blew up the evidence.
Another time they were trying to make us get off the sidewalk and we decided we were the Chicago 7 and said nope we're not moving. They all got out (probably 3 or 4 of them) and walk right up to us, yelling "I said get off the sidewalk!", we stood our ground, one cop who weighed probably 400 lbs and was nicknamed "Tanker Brady" got a little too close to me and stepped on my foot which was in a moccasin, this hurt a lot so I started yelling at him, "Get your %^%^%$% foot off my &^%^&% foot you ^&^&^&(porcine name), he looked down and took his foot off and apologized, I was the hero that day.

Did I say I grew up in a small town?
