Their production quality is just outstanding! And the bass is NEVER lost in the mix!

Yeah except I had to listen to CSNY Judy Blue Eyes (doing so now) and there's bass practice to be done. When I'm able, I like to listen from what's archived on my computer from CDs. There's over a gigabyte of music and ... I looked, there's no Chicago.
My Chicago days were strictly vinyl. And I spun up CMW a little bit ago because I really haven't listened to it seriously since vinyl. That makes me 14 years old when CMW was new. Such a beautiful song, is my recollection. Listen now and think what the sam hill would a 14 year old girl know of any of this?

Too bad the CTA forced them to stop using Chicago Transit Authority. Started riding the elevated lines in the '60s, before they got colors for line names. I am going to install new Custom Shop '62 Pickups in my Fender MIM P Bass this weekend. I never soldered before so I was checking out some How-To videos. When I watched this one, it brought back memories of high school projectors. I swear I could smell the dust burning on the projector bulb when I watched this. This was made in 1980 so I would have been a junior in HS.

In the presumption multiple blocks of 10,000 hours remain in this life to attain mastery at something, soldering didn't make the the final cut for me. 
You've still got plenty of time left (presumably). My grandmother would have been out of the running <ahem> with foot surgery and a treadle sewing machine. Kittens do not playfully tumble about in yarn baskets in her house, contrary to neo-nostalgic commercial art of the time.
I do award the Morrighan Cool Woodworking Seal of Approval to upcycled sewing machine treadles &c as parts for tables. Wonder how that could be worked into a custom amp housing?

We see lots of old sewing machines, and lots of old sewing machine tables, but rarely do we see them all together as intended!

I expect the date of the first recorded human bodily function came soon after recording was understood. And I additionally suspect the culprits are likely known to me, at least by gender.

My suspicion is such machines need not be actual good ideas to be sold as good ideas.
