Nice share! I first heard this on a 5th or 6th generation cassette tape back in the mid 70s. It was movie night at the student union. Young Frankenstein! The 7pm show was sold out, so we bought tickets for the late show and went back to a friend's apartment. And got trashed. While listening to the Crepitation Contest. Funny thing is, it's STILL funny, even when not trashed!

Thankee. Didn't work for me a while back, I'll have to double check again. I don't use FF much these days, but I would use it more if it would kill autoplaying vids on the sports sites and/or pre-roll ads.

Give AdGuard a try. I've been using it for years. Great product. Filters YouTube ads. I have a YouTube premium account, so I don't see them anyway. If you try it, please report back. Thanks.

We did that song in the late '70s with my first band. Fun song to play.
Pretend this has five strings and you have an idea of what my first 5-string bass was that I bought new in 1987.
Sorry, but this is the only readily available source I have for my first Zon 5-string bass, a 1997 Sonus Special 5 that I modded the electronics on.

All of the Markbassamps I had (LM II and F1)/have (Minimark) sound(ed) great. I've never used any of their stand-alone cabinets, only the one built-in to the Minimark.

BTW, some 45-50 years later, there ain't no way I can play that now. My little friend arthur[itis]says "nope."
That's difficult, they are the most sterile sounding amps I have ever had the misfortune of playing through.
I've used this for years on both firefox and chrome, stops youtube ads, MSN ads etc and you can control which pages you want to show ads on, for example I let Talkbass show ads. To stop autoplay videos I used my McAfee antivirus, it has a gadget in it which works well.

I use Chrome for Zoom &c as unknown engineers do whatever it is they do to Firefox. I don't know, exactly, and only generally, nor do I particularly care. My early Web stuff — as if there was anything like a Web as we know it or could imagine it was on Mozilla. That came after "Web browsing" on DEC terminals, I've forgotten ... Rainbow? That seems right but that was another era ...

A number of sites refuse access if you have an active ad blocker. The worst offenders are newspapers and magazines.

I used to worry that at some point I would no longer be able to get short scale double ball end strings. I bought some spares but it turned out that I’ve never changed them. All these years later, they are still available.

Those that do not accept an ad blocker are skipped. I do not have the time or interest to deal with them. Those who I like, I will subscribe to...with no ads.
The answer is simple. At Apple News, for a low cost subscription you can read hundreds of newspapers and magazines. A basic service is free, if you want more, you pay monthly. Much like how itunes and later streaming changed the industry. The days of papers selling individual subscriptions are quickly drawing to an end.
When billionaires started buying papers to control what people see with their version of the truth, it was all over. People are smarter than that.
With adblock there is an option to unblock the particular page rather than the whole site. That is VERY nice.
I've had online subscriptions to NYT, WAPO and many other sites for years now, we need them so I don't mind paying at all.

My luthier friend insisted that I get a fretted five string bass so I could have a better handle on his primary market. He would have just given me a long term loaner (aka pay me never) but we worked out a trade for one I actually wanted instead. I played it nearly exclusively for a solid year and I can at least cope now, albeit a but grudgingly. The frets are much more annoying to me than the big string is though...

Seems to be working this time with Brave, which has been my default browser for a while now. It created some problems with Firefox the last time around, but it seems to be a process of endless give and take between site builders and extension providers, and I’m mostly OK with moving playing fields. There are a ton of browser choices for the iPad, plus the Apple News option that @beans-on-toast mentioned, which even the free version of opens up quite a few paywalls.
