The entire point of this fusion surgery is so I can walk without pain. That ain't quite the completed deal yet. I've six weeks to see how things bear up or if a special credit surgery is in the works.

The major change since surgery is the geometry of my foot is different. It's the first time in my life my right foot has been fully perpendicular to my leg. That's held to be a good thing (but it is pretty weird).
Two basses coming my way, one sooner than the other. Got a Fender CAR J body and a Fender Fretless neck coming. And the J bass build mentioned above somewhere. I need winter projects.

What colours? Will the J bass be an oil or lacquer finish?
What about the fretboard material on the fretless? Do you prefer position markers of any sort on the fretless?
The parts bass is Candy Apple Red with a maple/rosewood unlined neck, both Fender.
The custom build J body by @/\/\3phist0 will be walnut Tasty walnut Jazz
with a bubinga/bubinga unlined neck by Freestone.
Not sure about the J finish yet. edit: oil finish is therapeutic and easily refreshed from time to time. Probably clear for sure. I like the look of an unlined fretless. The lines get in the way.
Side markers are ok, where the lines would be.my last build with a ‘71 Fender neck was in ‘82

In two months I'll be a card-carrying senior citizen! All a clever ruse for a discount at the donut shop!
Don’t forget that you get a discount when you ride on the bus to the donut shop. Many just stay at home, gazing out the window, looking for anyone going onto their lawn. At 65 you get to start reliving your childhood, only in reverse. Things don’t seem quite right.
Do you feel like one? In your mind (or, out of it), anyway?

Seniors ride the public bus for free in some places!
... cause you know seniors have loads of time and don't give a hoot how long it takes to do a basic errand.
