I know that many of you are very well-clued on IT matters, and I'm very 1109, so...here's what I bought, at $119. How did I do? I don't game or do heavy art processing, just web work, taxes, etc.

I had a girlfriend once whose family's home was like that. They had gold carpets with plastic runners everywhere. Had to take off shoes before entering. Prolly had plastic raincoats too!

My parents had plastic covers on the furniture and car seats. It was just something that people did. I still take my shoes off when entering anyone’s home.
I should probably clarify. I use the all black background with all animation turned off for my Samsung Galaxy S10e cell phone.
Now for my laptop, I have SRV and Tommy Shannon as my background.

You did great for what you want to use it for. Remember that Windows 10 S mode is a "locked" operating system. Win10S will only allow you to install "apps" from the Windows Store. I haven't used Win10S but it's designed to run fast with your laptop. It's Microsoft's version of the Google Chromebook.
I would recommend for the few bucks more get a three year Geek Squad extended warranty.

This looks like a baked-in tone, how do you EQ this for your Ibanez?
I already reset it out of Windows 10 S to 10 Home, so I can run what I like. I made sure I could do that before buying it. It's a one-way switch, but I really didnt think I needed the "protection" of only loading from Bill's shop. One of the reasons I bought it was to run Turbo Tax and a couple other Intuit products. I prefer Chrome as my browser anyway, and where I live you never get blazing speed.
For a computer that costed only $119, it might be better to write it off if it needed servicing after the warranty rather than pay $80 more for the 3-year extended coverage.

I had considered a Win10S computer due to the excellent cost to ratio, but opted for a Dell XPS 15. Bought it over time. Windows has smartened up and made the S version much slimmer than Home so it won't bog down resources. Even a Home upgrade from S is lighter than an out of box Home version. The only downside to upgrading to Home is the never-ending updates every week, eventually needing a reset to rid the OS of a years' worth of upgrade crud buildup.
At our PD we still have three Lenovo's that have been running 24/7 for six years. A testament to their quality.
