Oh, my There really is an X-Claus!
It could be worse!a standard poodle is unlike any other breed I've ever met. They are rather choosy about who they bond with, and when they do it is very deep.
Just mention Hudson's Bay blanket and slippers in a post and within minutes this comes up at the top of my TB page. That's scary.

There is a new chromium based browser called "Brave" that blocks data collection. If you use Google for search, it strips out your personal data first. Also, I use an adware/blocker called uBlock Origin for Chrome. It also blocks those annoying ads like the one posted above earlier. The new Edge is supposed to be more privacy oriented about collecting data. Google has been sued in the EU for selling data collected from users' browser histories. They all collect metrics that get put on your permanent record, stored in an unknown holding company. As foretold, Big Brother and the Holding Company is very real.

I'm telling you, that dog's into feet.![]()
I glance to my left and it is Odin looking at me with my good left slipper in his mouth, just beyond arm's length. He drops the slipper unharmed in exchange for the new chewie I present. Good Odin.
Well he’s smart. Makes sense to trade up.
Two poodles take a different approach to solving a problem. One works hard and comes up with a solution. The lazy one sits back and then steals the treat. How many times have I seen that in life.

My experience is that watch repair people are a disappearing breed. I have a rather nice Seiko that needs cleaning and adjustment. I cant find anyone within 200 miles to do it. Everyone tells me to send it to Seko...they charge $150 for a basic maintenance.Today's mass produced watches are non-repairable by design, I suspect. Throwaway items meant to last for the duration of the owner's attention span, same as Bic Stick type pens.
You prefer an auto-wind typewriter? And typewriter repairmen.
Except I really have no great desire to use a manual typewriter again.
We used to rescue Irish setters, before we were taking in parrots. Talk about dumb. But they're another breed that's just had the brains bred out of them, like standard collies. We did chows for awhile...so hardheaded it was impossible to tell whether they were stupid or just ignoring you.Very smart dogs like standard poodles mean a different set of problems than with profoundly dumb breeds like Russian wolfhounds.
And by some chance my slippers don't match and there is a dog involved in that.
