There are very definitely people who drop that kind of dosh without a thought. I'd rather imagine it into reality myself, and save the coin for a long holiday.

Who was that?In my (likely faulty) memory, I saw very few press pros with Leica. Nikon ruled in that time. Perhaps it still does? My Leica/Leitz pusher was in Studio City. Figures.

Does that come with a house to put them in?
I know, with authority, that Canons make for better digital cameras than Nikons. At least definitely back in the late '80s. A friend of mine was a lifer at Kodak designing all things digital. When the first round of professional digital cameras were being designed and made, Kodak made a couple of pro cameras, one based on a Nikon, the other based on Canon; he said the Nikon was a "nightmare" to work with, whereas the Canon was a "charm".
If only we had met in the '90s when I had two of those..........IME the M5 was a money pit if / when it needed service. The M6 was a little much but supercool, the M4 was battle-worthy. The jones I never satisfied was ownership of a Leica CL

A little "Mother's" wax and yer good.
I like hand drills like your brace on the wall. Prefer the three jaw chucks over the two jaw ones.

Every single Chuck I ever knew had only one jaw. And with some of them, it was one too many.
My dad had one like the one on the wall. It disappeared over time. My wife and I were on a trip to Boston and we stopped at this antique store. They had a bunch of tools and I found that brace. It was exactly like the one my dad had so I bought it.
Now that's some "rustic charm"!

The most stupid thing we ever heard was a couple looking for something like a beach house. The guy kept using the term "kiwi feel" whatever the heck that means. I didn't know if he meant the flightless bird, the fruit, or the shoe polish.
