Not only did Frank sing
with the orchestra but he was excellent as a jazz singer. He knew how to finesse his songs-- riffing on the beat of the lyrics, using his voice like a jazz instrument. I really discovered Frank when our band had to learn how to do a "Vegas" style act for the first dinner set. I discovered how talented not only Frank was, but also the priceless musicians in these bands back when big band was king. It still is in my heart.
