Get off my LAWN! "Grumpy Old Farts"

After a two-stage archaeological excavation of my bedroom, I found my DD-214! I knew that sucker was somewhere in there. :D I've recently learned that it is fairly standard procedure for companies to force employees off of their group health care plans when said employees qualify for Medicare (I'll turn 65 on the 30th). My employer is doing this (and paying my Medicare premium in a roundabout way), so I was thinking that I'd need a Medicare supplement plan. After conversing with two brothers at church today who have been relying solely on the VA for their health care for years, I discovered that a supplement policy isn't necessary for us. We have an excellent VA hospital in the town where I work. Almost cured me of my grumps... ;)
Make copies.

You can always make an appointment with a VA administrator to see what's covered and get their perspective on supplemental coverage. Better to be informed going in.

I ask for Tabasco because Tabasco is universally understood as "hot sauce". What is brought to the table is another thing entirely. I recall a hash house that served hot sauce in a squeeze ketchup bottle. I find Angry Chili Lady's Spicy Chili Crisp goes with just about anything. But I'm not taking a bottle of it with me to dine out.
Any restaurant around here that does not have Tabasco sauce is highly suspect. Of course, we are about an hour and a half from Avery Island and Mcilhenny Farms where Tabasco sauce is made. At their gift shop you can get anything Tabasco related, including ice cream, and several "flavors" of the sauce.

Needing a fiery drool please.....:D

@Morrighan , apologies for the late replies.
Firstly, yes, bacon...proper bacon...is probably the favoured choice over corned beef...although not always. In fact, last St. Patrick's day, my mother cooked us corned beef...with cabbage and mashed potatoes. It was great, but yeah, I'd have preferred bacon.:)

Secondly, yes, cows are big business here. Mainly dairy. At least they smell better than a pig farm!

No, but it isn't a bad looking place. Many of the houses are around 1900-1920, lot of stained glass and wood trim. That one has a garage under the front lawn. Lots of interesting architecture.
The NW, especially the Portland area, is famous for lots of Craftsman style homes and bungalows (as if those aren't homes, too :smug:). Sears homes, even. :D
