Yeah, I also found out that the private duty nurse to which one is married tends to be a bit less tolerant of one's shenanigans, mostly because she's had years of practice in putting up with them. On the other hand, there can never be a nurse more caring.I tried to post a video of me playing to YouTube once, but they said that they have standards even though their standards are exceedingly low.
BTW, I am home now. I told my wife that she gets to be my private duty nurse and that she had to do anything I asked her to do. Let's just say that she was not amused.

Seems to me the debate about shawls resolved in the "good" column. @alaskaleftybass said he planned on a pink sweater instead of a shawl for his wife's Christmas gift?
Apropos of not quite nothing, I'd love to hear one of these young Turks do a slap bass In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida drum solo.
A sweater can help when it's nippy, but can't match a shawl when you're having a bad hair day.
The drum solo in that song was always a good opportunity to excuse yourself to go use the bathroom.

Another ground breaker in this respect was Dylan's 'Positively 4th Street'. I could not believe that the top 40 radio stations were playing a song longer than 3 minutes.
Groundbreaking, sure. The album cover was quite interesting, solos, not so much.
I liked it when radio station used to play entire albums, commercial free. What a concept.
Those radio stations then were reserved for the FM band. WABX, WKNR, WRIF in Detroit. DJ Russ Gibb was the master of dead air.

WBCN, Boston was one of the first underground stations, the switch from classical to you name came in March of 1968 and someone did a documentary on in it in 2012, great doc I've seen it a few times, my ear was glued to that station starting in the early 70's, they broke a lot of national acts including U2, but also a lot of Boston bands, Aerosmith, Boston of course this was in their later AOR days.
This video from this 1972 Boston band (The Modern Lovers) opens the documentary, it makes me homesick when I watch it, someone driving around Boston probably with an old projector or something, Storrow Drive, the old expressway before they built the tunnel, Ma Pike etc.
