Strolling in public in your Sunday best is probably still practiced somewhere. My grandmother wore fur stoles. Then there's the sporting crowd.

To look at that now...kinda weird.

Well, there's a lot of anti fur groups that make you want to think like that. There's a fur trade area nearby where they manufacture, recondition and sell fur products. My grandmother sold fur coats for a living. People forget that countries were built on the fur trade.

Business probably isn't what it used to be but they seem to do well enough, showroom windows have nice coats. Like a set of silver dinnerware, everyone had a fur coat back in the day. It was a way to show off. Today, it's mostly the wealthy. In another part of town there's a different type of fur trade.

Mine too. I transitioned to senior citizenship today (65) and it didn't hurt a bit. ;) My coolest gift was a steam- punky solar powered sunfish:

Now that you're officially 65, we can show you the secret handshake that is exclusive to "seniors". By knowing it, you can avail yourself of a "senior coke" or other fine flavor at your friendly, local McDonalds.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!
