Ooh, we have a singer in our midst! :bassist: Let's here some of your stuff. :)

Can you sing blindfolded?

I may be able to help with that (I think I still have it, I know I got the stand; if only La Contessa had asked it could have been hers......).

Today's microphone impulse buy was long in consideration, same as the Acinonyx. I thought about what kind of bass would fit my needs most (including emotional needs like the cool factor of the Acinonyx) and dawdled until I just put the thing in the shopping cart and /done. Which is exactly the microphone thing. I thought about it forever because

I can talk into my headset but I can't talk and play bass with it because it mutes background noise. And the microphone is made for voice. &c boring &c. What I believe I can do here in a world virtually snowbound by an invisible virus is teach remotely. Or something. Without a microphone it won't be anything.

The impulse buy is I mentioned this in an abbreviated form to a friend and she said oh buy the mic and I bought the microphone before we were done talking. :banghead: :bag:

A friend of mine wanted nothing more than a Ferrari until she owned one.
Executive summary —
A Ferrari may be a daily driver for someone, somewhere. But not for her, and not for where she lives. It is amazing to be seen in.
Yeah, every ten years or so I'll see one in traffic in northern Virginia and will think, "You idiot. How ya like going a blistering 32 mph on average in that thing?" I think maybe five or so years back one of the local baseball players was winding one out on the Beltway late one night when a Virginia State boy took a dim view of such behavior. Mr. Werth The player was convicted and got to enjoy the hospitality of the hoosegow in Fairfax County for 30 days, if memory serves -- though only on weekends or some such nonsense. Or maybe it was just a piddly Porsche or summat.

Don't forget, a boom stand allows you to hang your laundry.

A boom for hanging your laundry? I thought that is what a treadmill was for? :smug:

Fix it? What's that? :D

If it breaks, I'll just put it on the front lawn for show (and hopefully there won't be too much lawn left over to have to chase kids off of).

Hold on a minute...There are rules for that. Has to be up on cinder blocks with the wheels off, busted windshield, and the weeds have to be at least two feet tall. An optional touch is an old water heater or washing machine on the front porch or next to said car. Water heater must lay on it's side. You can also add an old dryer but the door must be open. If and when the yard is mowed be sure to leave at least a one foot buffer of weeds around car and appliances. Do NOT use a weedeater!

I have other useful tips such as this but I can't promise they will be this good.
