Nice straps. From the way that they drape, they do look very soft given the thickness. Did you buy a big piece and slice it to size or were they pre-cut strips? I wanted some tools a while back and found that Tandy has closed a lot of stores.

Very soft stuff, like deer but heavier. You never see cowhide this pliable, especially in 8 oz thickness. I bought a side, half of the whole critter...about 22 sq ft. Almost no place sells 4 inch pre-cuts. Got it from a place that processes hides for one of the tribes in Montana.

Bought some finger cots to deal with a split thumb. Helps keep ointment on your finger.

Note to self, don't ask for finger condoms in the pharmacy. They bring you to the condom section. Me repeatedly saying, no I need one smaller than that. Finally find what I need, then I ask where the vaseline is.
