I was a supporting member from the beginning, but these days, as I have nothing to sell in the Classifieds, this non-income producing GOF is cutting back on non-essentials.
I was thinking of doing the same.

Oh man, I had to quit watching after they managed to get the dust cover on without hurting themselves. It took two of them to do a lame job in twice the time it usually took me to do an exemplary one when I was a slick-sleeved Army private. If I had walked away from my bunk and left it like they did I'd have found all the bedding on the floor when I came back from training.

Right now I am on the prowl for a new winter coat, so whatever money I can save elsewhere will be going into it. Been looking at a North Face today and will be checking out some others tomorrow.I was thinking of doing the same.
I'd pay extra for that.TB should offer a membership discount for folks over 65.

A guy wants to go fishing so he stops in the bait shop.
Guy: How much is bait?
Proprietor: Oh, I could let you have all you want for a dollar.
Guy: Good! Give me 2 dollars worth!
And...it tastes like bait.^ a clear illustration of why Golden Corral is still in business.

The key here is to buy larger than you need when you are young.Warm winter coats are tough. Pay a lot for a really good one and it will last though your life if you take care of it. I've had a comfortably larger one for 15 years and it's as good as new even though I wear it every day.

I can still wear the same earrings I wore in high school![]()
I was never in the military but there is something that I really like about olive drab. When I was a kid, I bought down filled NOS military surplus coats for $25. It was really warm and lasted for many years. Not a big problem but it was army green.
I can attest to the ears. And my hearing has really taken a hit...go figure.Little known trivia, your ears and nose continue to grow thoughout your life. Why I can't fathom.
