We stayed at Costabella on Mactan since we were working on the PAF side of the airport. Fun watching them work on and fly the old Trojans! Radial engine trainers retrofit with "break through canopy" ejection seats and 50 cal cannons. Costabella was all bamboo structures then. Snorkeling was really cool. Very large balls of lava landed in the water. The part that hit the water first is glassy smooth and shaped like egg crate. The rest very porous and has tiny bright tropical fish swimming in and out.

I used to be a big fan...but as a grew older, the game lost its luster. After the idiocy of some of the players in thinking I give a rats rear about their politics, I grew disgusted...but when the colleges and pros alike started turning a blind eye to sheer disrespect for just about everything I embrace, football can kiss my rosy red.

My feelings are like yours! Especially one C.K. comes to mind, but there are many in other areas that carry that same idealistic attitude you are refering to

He builds and sells a very nice line of lower priced, yet well built cabs starting with 10" cabs and was well received. He's recently suffered some personal and financial setbacks and his orders are down.

He sent me a pm and from what I make of it he might need to change his advertising methods. I have not ordered from him but seriously considered buying a couple of his 10" cabs to go with my baby GK MB200 as a tiny double stack.

Any suggestions or words of encouragement for Bob at chopshopamps.com? I'm not peddling for sales, I'm trying to provide some support for an independent builder. Every time we lose an independent builder in our chosen field, we lose another choice vs. Big Business. His TB handle is basscooker and he has some threads written on his great little cabs.

Thanks for letting us know friend. Sad news. I need to get my bills paid today and put some thought to this.
