Oh I hate it. First LP is the only one worth listening too. Vocalists bugged out after that. The Duke was a member before they started recording Duke Tumatoe - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia I saw him around here all the time. Saw him a few years ago in S. IN and he dropped the comedy routine.
I never saw REO on purpose but they must have been trying to hold on in 80 to 83. Every time I went to a long multi band concert, they were there and always early on the list. And everytime they played that God aweful song and on bright sunny days they always told the same bs story how they were flying and and had to go through a big storm. I think I saw them 4 times during those years. We just went and ate lunch when they played in Memphis.

Nice build on the cab...details? I'm too grumpy, and frankly sore from last night's gig to see if you detailed them elsewhere ....

Nice. That reminds me of when my wife and I were rather casually trying to look for rare Mountain Bluebirds way out in the boonies, with no luck. At a certain spot I caught a vibe and had my wife pull over the car. As I was explaining that I just had a feeling, one of the little suckers flew up and started eating bugs off our windshield, happily oblivious to the kooks inside.
I wouldn't mess with that House Sparrow though, they are gangsta all the way.
At least it wasn't seagull or even worse, a bigger bird such as a pelican. Those things can really leave a mess on the car. I think that they get satisfaction out of doing it.

A little baby one fell out of my birdhouse. Screaming it's head off. I figured out which apartment he belonged to put him up there and he jumped into the neighbors. Dunno what ever became of him, but I think he survived unless ousted, fell and eaten. I looked around and never saw a dead one.
Thanks Ken, what kind of details would you like? It's big and heavy, for in house use. If wife insists it can't be in the living room, I'll caster it. Otherwise, I'll decide where to put it and it can stay there forever. That's the primary motivator of the bling. 3/4" ply, no bracing, 30ish Lb cast PA type speaker, sealed cab, can't remember but around 4 cu ft. Not super efficient, but way louder than I need. I may try to get some sound measurements one day... No pillow stuffins yet, but maybe one day.

I have a cut list, modeling software outputs, lots of pics. It is a WAF speaker, and getting Wife Acceptance Factor was the prime motivator, sound quality 2nd but wanted it to reach down low for low B. Weight not a factor because I don't plan to ever move it, like I said. Give it to the neighbor "kid" who has a music major and plays wonderful music on more types of instruments than I've ever laid hands on. The kid speaks perfect English, but most of their friends not so much. I gave him a huge, heavy subwoof made of 1" MDF that I built on it's permanent location. Told him about it, about ten minutes later he and 3 or 4 others came by, move it about ten feet close to the stairs, left, came back with about 8 total and carried that sucker up the stairs and out. And they really do say andeli andeli when they are dropping something big! Great neighbors and family. They treat me like family. Anyway, cut list is off a bit because the design shrunk a bit to a cutting error. Modeling software wanted an 8 cu ft cab, but reducing it makes very little difference. It raises the roll-off on the bottom end some, but offers more control to prevent fart out. For 4 strings, you could shrink it more.

Got old and soft. Can't hurt pretty wildlife. Vermin? It's @$$ is meat if it is on my property. The only birds I hurt now are made of clay. Rabbits and squirrels are a close call. They are in-betweens. I let them go anyway though.

Both rabbits and squirrels are starting to be a hassle on our property, but doing anything about that is another thing. The Psycho Scrub Jays do their best to run off squirrels and raccoons, at least:
I have a whole web page devoted to pics of the Psycho Jays, who definitely own our yard. Their antics are often quite hilarious, and they and the year round resident hummingbirds are pretty much my favorites.
I used to get 25 cents a squirrel tail. So at ten or 12 YO, that was good income. A biologist at the small college my dad taught at found out I was tossing the rest of the tree rats and wanted the heads. He like tree rat brain soup. Coons got $25 to $35 a skin, but it took a head shot or you loose about half that. Bought my first dirt bike and car from these shenanigans and detasseling corn @$2.10/hr.
We're at the front edge now, tornadoes on the ground at the rear. Three in my county, but they just see circular rotation on doppler, no sightings. Sirens, txt alerts from the university, my ears ain't popping, no hail and the trailer parks are all across town, miles away. I'm staying put for now. Go to the basement when there's a real tornado.
Just got back to the Philippines after 3 months in the U.S. for knee surgery and recording sessions. We have a two day layover in Cebu before the overnight ferry to where we live. So we figured hey! let's go get a couple of tattoos. So we did. I got a nice bass clef on my forearm and my wife got a vine on her arm. No pics right now, can't figure out the blasted camera + phone.

Staying at the Radisson Blu, need to take care of some business downtown. Like getting tattooed. Nice hotel, got upgraded to a business suite. Normally don't go first class. More of a "joe bag o' donuts" kind of guy.
