When TB was down I started making SOS. It may be pangs of physical rehab three years ago when SOS is the breakfast I look forward to.

Loves me some SOS. First morning at boot camp I see they have SOS. "can I get more?" Thought the guy serving was gonna faint. When TB was down I started making SOS. It may be pangs of physical rehab three years ago when SOS is the breakfast I look forward to.

From back when nearly everyone smoked 'cos it was 'cool'-b4 we knew they'd kill ya. Granting that I'm a genuine GOF, I quit 50+ years ago.The antique ones were pretty elaborate. My parents had an airplane one from the 30's with a built in lighter.

That sounds like a fun band to be in. Then you could do an alter ego set of early GD or High Country and blow the crowds' minds!Spot on, sorta. Joe Maphis writed the song. New Riders of the Purple Sage put me over the top. Giving more and more idle thought to a NRPS kind of band. It'd draw the right crowd without the overhead of expectations. Which was what my last band was, so who knows where I am in these times.
True. Although a lotta the time the crowd's mind is already blown. That sounds like a fun band to be in. Then you could do an alter ego set of early GD or High Country and blow the crowds' minds!![]()

Regarding mask laxity...
We lost my best friend's (growing up) wife on Easter Sunday due to COVID and accompanying underlying conditions. They were very cavalier about not wearing any facial protection and went traveling to see relatives. Soon after they both developed the disease and she spent ~6 weeks in ICU. They thought she was improving very well but then the bottom dropped out and she passed away. I am just heartbroken for my friend and want to cuss him out for being so casual about this disease. Not gonna help.![]()

Yeah, Michigan is among the leading states for new and variant strain cases at ~7000 daily. Vaccinated or not, the wife and I are laying low still getting curbside pickup on everything possible.I'm sorry for your loss. Your friends were't alone in not getting it. People need to wake up! I hope that your message helps.
It's really giving the creeps living downtown. I see so many people congregating outside. The police really stepped up this past weekend in the parks like I've never seen before. Despite that, hundreds defied a curfew and were burning stuff in the streets last night to protest an earlier curfew time. All this with 1600+ new cases reported per day in the region. A couple of weeks ago it was down to 800 per day from a high of over 1800. The majority of new cases today are the variant strains.
Sympathy like on the first one, and "You're doing it right" like on the second.Yeah, Michigan is among the leading states for new and variant strain cases at ~7000 daily. Vaccinated or not, the wife and I are laying low still getting curbside pickup on everything possible.

I've got a good friend who has fallen under influence of a no-account [slew of expletives] jackwagon on the internet he "trusts." (Because if you can't put your faith in a total stranger with half-arsed blog and twitter account, well, what's the internet for??) Talking to him now is like dealing with someone so deep in a cult, you start to wonder not if you're going to lose them, but more to what, exactly.
I'm trying to remain hopeful, but it's genuinely depressing to see a brilliant person using his mind to perform enough mental gymnastics to fool himself into bad ideas and bad habits, based on bad information and pure [expletive].
My 32yo son is like this. He has been taking in his news from many online sources, thinking they speak more truth than the big media outlets. I have pointed out their small staff sizes alone imply strongly that they can be manipulated even easier than the large outlets. My mantra has been, "Just keep your mind open to the possibility they may get it wrong like the others do." It seems to sink in sometimes, then fades away....Sympathy like on the first one, and "You're doing it right" like on the second.
