Get off my LAWN! "Grumpy Old Farts"

Hooters new tag line:

"Our wings are better than B-dub's!"

Talk about damned by faint praise.
I'm nowhere close to being a 'gourmet'. As long as it's edible and reasonably priced I'm OK with it. However, if all I want is to be fed, I don't feel like paying extra for ambiance that means nothing to me. My one visit to a B-dub's, I had a pulled pork sammich with garlic wing sauce. Pretty tasty, but overpriced.
Oh. Sports bars showing old games-or current ones-showing sports I have no interest in seeing-like soccer or basketball-ain't gettin' my money to hear a bunch of 'fans' hollering at the TVs. Grump, grump.

We don't go to B-Dubs for the sports either. We usually eat, have a beer, might play some Michigan Keno.

Another bitc...,er, gripe. If I want my burger(steak, pork chop, whatever)rare, make it rare-or however I order it. I normally won't send anything back(I've been in kitchens and seen what happens), but if it's anywhere past medium, "Try again". There's one chain(5 Guys)that tells you up front that burgers are cooked 'well'. Thx falettin' me know. 'Bye. Then there's BK-"Flame grilled to perfection". Nope. I used to get their fish sammich occasionally, but they screwed it up too. <end rant-for now>.

And.. their food isn't that good anyways. Lots of places to get wings and a burger. I thought we weren't supposed to exploit women these days...
Many women and men buy surgery to enhance their exploitability. It is a person choice. As long as no one gets hurt what's the fuss? Personally, I don't find it attractive but someone obviously does.

Just because you see a Rolls-Royce saloon doesn't mean the person inside is a Rolls-Royce. Same with bodies, with or without aftermarket customization. Same for everything, really. Good marketing and PR can whitewash a wealth of sins.

McDonald's isn't 'food' in my book. My definition of 'food' includes that fact that it has to provide nutrition. I am unable to digest Mickey D's 'food', even something as simple as an egg-sausage muffin (my very last MD meal; the only 'food' source within walking distance of the U-Haul that took 4 hours to install a hitch receiver on my Forester).

I pretty much avoid all fast food.

But a got one nice surprise. The fish sandwich at Wendy's. I was out in the middle of nowhere, hungry, when I spotted a Wendy's. Thought I'd try their fish sammie. Ordered it at the drive-thru window. Was told to pull forward and wait, since their fish sammies are made-to-order!!! Cheese or no cheese! Tartar sauce that didn't taste like paint thinner. I'd order one again if in dire need.

It also doesn't mean they always have Grey Poupon.

There went that train of thought I was following

I'm blessed with a cast iron stomach and can eat anything I want to. I'm definitely not a health food person. One look at me will confirm that. I also usually don't eat on a schedule. I eat when I feel like eating. Living alone also
means I don't hafta adhere to anyone else's schedule. On the rare occasions I get together with someone else to chow down, I gots to be careful of not eating anything too close to a scheduled mealtime.
I used to enjoy an occasional McD fish sammich, but they're so overpriced it's like they're trying to get rid of them. BTW. If you want one that hasn't been sitting out, order with no cheese. They hafta make it fresh.
