Generally speaking, no one ever went to Hooters anything in search of "class." This is no reflection on the ladies themselves, so much as it is the notions of their customers, spurred on by the advertising of the company. I've known a few "Hooters girls" who were quite nice, and yes, classy in their own conduct.
Speaking of the BAC One-Eleven, there was Freddie Laker.
Uniforms were different in the late 60's into the 70's.

All the visibility hides the FA's primary job of saving everyone's sorry rearends in an emergency.
A former neighbor when I lived down in Scottsdale was one of the Pan Am stewardesses (FAs now, I know) that the TV show was based on. She did a lot of interviews with the show writers. Lovely woman. Very friendly. Totally unpretentious. I liked her a lot. She was, unfortunately, married.

On the other hand...what a way to go.All the visibility hides the FA's primary job of saving everyone's sorry rearends in an emergency.

I do remember the jingle. The gong...Northwest Orient, da-da-da, Airrrlines.
Now there is Vietjet that offers bikini service. The CEO is a woman and she came up with the idea of the air hostesses doing a Hawaiian dance in the isles. We'll see if it has wings.

And.. their food isn't that good anyways. Lots of places to get wings and a burger. I thought we weren't supposed to exploit women these days...The wife and I won't eat at Hooters.
I wouldn't want my daughter working there. My opinion only. You do you.
It ain't "new". The Atlantic Coast Line RR had swimwear fashion shows on their NY-FL trains in the late 50s. These were for the first class/Pullman passengers only and were put on in the dining or lounge cars after the dinner hours.I knew Hooters was contagious. Sheesh. Next, it'll be "lingerie" shows in the aisles like they used to have in some restaurants in Houston. Nothing like dealing with "models" in for-sale "lingerie" while you're trying to eat your mystery meat (exsqueeze me, Chicken Fried Steak) lunch.

Yeah, I vaguely remember going once-Been to Hooters exactly 1 time. Early nineties, just to see what the hype was about. Poor selection of beer, food worse than Dairy Queen, pretty girls, who evidently knew that was destined to be a bass player. I was totally ignored, had to get my own beer from the bar. No one retired on tips from me. Haven't been back. To each their own.
. Food was 'OK'(hardly a ringing endorsement), girls were attractive, I had a coke or something, but basically no BFD.Hooters new tag line:Been to Hooters exactly 1 time.
