Last night Carey reminded me that she had two medical appointments today. So I emailed my boss and told him I would be chauffeuring Carey around today. Carey wanted to go in a little later this morning and I called our clinic to reschedule. Turns out this is our doctor's regular day off! So wow big misunderstanding somewhere. So we're able to reschedule our imagined appointment to May.

This is our regular trash day and I have stuff in the spare bedroom that I could certainly throw away so I guess I'll have plenty to do on this unscheduled day off. ... ...

Congratulations on the Retiree Mini Training Course day, Will. :D Warning! It can become addictive. I started taking partial, and whole, days off for my elderly mom's various needs so much that, after she passed, my new perspective made working time away from loved ones just too ludicrous to continue. Sure enough, retirement has been great! Wishing you the same.

... ... So what's everyone else doing this weekend, GOF's? Any exciting or interesting plans?

Well, our Easter weekend gatherings/experiments almost 2 weeks ago generated no known new illnesses, so far. So this weekend will be be a smaller, more cautious gathering/experiment. A longtime friend of Mrs. Dog's family flew in from Denver, just ahead of the latest snow event there yesterday, and is staying at Mrs. Dog's sister's house. She's visiting her own family today, but tomorrow & Sunday we're visiting them! Just the 5 or 6 of us, all fully vaccinated, should be cool. Of course, she's hugging and kissing all over her (probably some unvaccinated) family today, but c'est la vie.

Beginning to have hopes of going back to work with my church band this summer, God willing and the 'Rona don't rise.

What I see today is my June ̶r̶e̶f̶o̶r̶m̶ school reunion will be virtual, and an in-person make-up reunion for all classes affected by the Thing That Is Still Going Around is set for June 2022.

It's not funny but at age 72, I am not getting any reunion notifications. They slowly decreased over time :(:bawl::rollno:.

First CV shot tomorrow. Depending on how I feel afterwards, maybe to the deli for dindin. Imola on Sunday.

Mine was a tiny needle, 0.3ml injected. You have a choice of right or left arm. I'm left handed so they recommended the right side. I told them to do the left. Afterward, you're on such a mental high that the Deli will be a great release. There's a little bit of swelling for a while. Nothing in comparison to the feeling of having got the shot.

The street that I grew up on was full of post WWII families. There were a lot in my age group. We all hung out together, in the 60's formed bands and played out. Some went on to become professional musicians. Of our group all have passed on except for two of us.

I mostly have errands to run. There are travel restrictions, they don't want you leaving the region. Other regions don't want you entering. It's all mapped out by the authorities. Need a new bathroom sink, will find one at a hardware and get to install that.

We tend to the gave of my wife's grandparents. Recently found out by accident that her great grandparents are in the same cemetery. Will be trying to locate them with the help of the office staff there. The grave has not been visited by family in over 70 years and I want to set that right.
Wow. That's important stuff, honoring ancestors. Good on ya.

Well, if you call going into a local super market today for the first time in a year, that's exciting! Even more exciting was being able to confirm the Dungeness crab I was buying was actually fresh.

Tomorrow, I will continue to do curb side pickup for groceries, not because of COVID, but because of laziness and COPD. As time goes by, I am finding an excuse for everything. Ain't retirement grand. Over the weekend, I just might find time to practice bass. That is, of course, if I can't find an excuse for not doing that...Happy Weekend everyone... from a confirmed GOF.

Been long out of touch with my alma maters. Friends scattered across time.
