It's amazing how much better they all knew my opinions than I ever did. They shut me up real good.
Yes, it took me a little while to realize that if they asked my opinion on something, they just wanted me to agree with them. Once I figured that out, life was easier.

I don’t know what it’s like to sleep through the entire night.

Ala NY times...and a bunch more sources say:

  • Sleeping Too Little in Middle Age May Increase Dementia Risk, Study Finds
The research, tracking thousands of people from age 50 on, suggests those who sleep six hours or less a night are more likely to develop dementia in their late 70s.

Something to look forward to.

I'm all about taking 20 minute naps when I feel a slump during the day. Fortunately, my situation enables me to do so. Makes a world of difference. Eight hours of sleep in one chunk? Can't remember the last time.

Same here. I’m a napper plus about 6 hours at night. Up at around 4-5AM. Being a light sleeper, my dog’s snoring didn’t help. He insisted on sleeping nearby.

Hah, then I should have no problem. But, what about 2-4 hour shifts with a break in the middle for you know what and thinking of bass lines for an hour?

Can't do 20 minutes. It would turn into 4 hours and ruin the whole day...
Unless I'm actually doing something, I get about an hour +/- every afternoon*. 'Course I also stay up 'til about 2 AM. I always worked nights-either music or truck driving-so if I go to to bed early(11ish), I wake up at 5 for no reason.
*EDIT: my version of an 'afternoon delight'.

Ben and Jerry sold out their business to mega giant Unilever in 2000. Although there is manufacturing in Vermont like they claim, they have big plants in Nevada, The Netherlands, and Israel.

They also no longer claim that their milk comes from happy cows. Lawsuits, launched by protest groups, ended that. I always thought that Vermont cows looked happy strolling around the green mountains.
