Ben and Jerry sold out their business to mega giant Unilever in 2000. Although there is manufacturing in Vermont like they claim, they have big plants in Nevada, The Netherlands, and Israel.

They also no longer claim that their milk comes from happy cows. Lawsuits, launched by protest groups, ended that. I always thought that Vermont cows looked happy strolling around the green mountains.

Hope their milk, now does not come from Mad Cows .

I haven't bought any B&J since they stopped making "Chubby Hubby".

More than a couple creameries where I am

and what I see in the light of this morning is meeting instincts are reflexive. What's missing here where virtual meetings are virtually normal now is the board room. Cringe as I do about being struck and not flinching, the same energy can be found everywhere with or without steel chairs — the levels of seriousity are steep. To me, the question is why the experience is so common when so few would elect to go through it.

Sometimes I think about ascending the west face of the Petit Dru. It's something you want on your climbing resume, but not something you want to be doing right now.

I worked at Vermont international airport for a while during the late 90's and used to see Ben and/or Jerry flying in and out a lot.

I used to go to the original shop in Burlington very early on and get served by those guys. It was more of a derelict soup kitchen than a reknowned ice cream place back then, we'd actually typically go to the UVM ice cream bar for the killer sweet stuff.

Dental issues are never easy to deal with. Years ago people like my parents used to get them out in their late teens so that they wouldn’t have to endure life long pain.

My how things have changed. Now, it's more PC to endure life long financial pain at the dentist. Between my ears (hearing aids) and eyes (glasses), at least I don't have to take my teeth out at night :smug:.

Good thing too, because it sounds like you might not find them again after extraction.

Oh is that what you meant? Sorry but I have not inserted my caffeine module yet this morning.:help:

I don’t know what it’s like to sleep through the entire night.
Know the feeling, for at least 15 years now.

Ala NY times...and a bunch more sources say:

  • Sleeping Too Little in Middle Age May Increase Dementia Risk, Study Finds
The research, tracking thousands of people from age 50 on, suggests those who sleep six hours or less a night are more likely to develop dementia in their late 70s.

Looks like I am in good company! (For the most part - I'm definitely no Einstein [thanks, Geddy])

And very reflective of you, too.

Looks very in-Spire-ing.

When I was there there was only a bronze plaque in the sidewalk on the corner of St Paul St and Church St, I believe?
