Did the jazz/blues/rock gig tonight. Last time we had 2 customers. I predicted 5 for tonight. Missed it by 4. The owner is doing away w/ live music on Thursdays. Seems all the clubs do crappy on Thursday. Oh, well, back to watching hockey. (This is not a disappointment)
I hope you underestimated the crowd size with your prediction.

Here my personal weirdosity meter has been spiking in the Hunter S. Thompson zone. No clue why I own and use a weirdosity meter because the navigational aids were hacked and, therefore, worse than useless.
"Buy the ticket, take the ride." If you have the meter, ya gotta use it.

In verifying my personal weirdosity meter is functioning properly —

as we all know, GoFs sometimes wake up at night for bio. Biology, not biography. And I'm awake, but it's not pressure on my bladder that brings me back here. What I'm wondering loud enough to wake myself up is where's the dog? Turn on the bedside lamp and see Odin sitting on the floor. He's looking directly at me. Odin's time for bio. As we make our way to the patio door, I'm wondering hard — did he just telepathy me awake? :wacky:

Settled in again, Odin's calm, until I hear a rising growl. He's off like a shot to park himself at the kitchen bay window to bark his head off at something. It's mostly woodland critters outside. The human kind of critters don't often come up this dead end road. I see nothing. My stupidwildazz guess is coyote or bear.

An hour's gone by, sleep comes. Coffee and settling into what looks like (checks weather app) 16C and rain.

Ah, the GoF life...

More likely your brain picked up on a change in environment, and woke you up to see what was happening (maybe Odin stirred, or the regular rhythm of his sleeping breath pattern changed when he woke). Your unconscious brain did the work, while your conscious mind only wakes up to see the dog looking at you.

Not as fun as a telepathic dog, but probably closer to what happened. ;)

Anyone watch the Kentucky Derby? (gonna watch?)
6 hours of preamble and 2 minutes of excitement. I tune in for 10 minutes.
By the time I realize it's on, it's usually over. Not much for horses anyway.

I know all about telepathic dogs  and 2024 is much closer now than it was in 1975.

I’m wondering, if you’re a horn player and live in France, aren’t you a French horn player?

_________

Some girls like french horn players. (Joke written by a french horn player)

A girl went out on a date with a trumpet player, and when she came back her roommate asked, "Well, how was it? Did his embouchure make him a great kisser?"

"Nah," the first girl replied. "That dry, tight, tiny little pucker; it was no fun at all."

The next night she went out with a tuba player, and when she came back her roommate asked, "Well, how was his kissing?"

"Ugh!" the first girl exclaimed. "Those huge, rubbery, blubbery, slobbering slabs of meat; oh, it was just gross!"

The next night she went out with a French horn player, and when she came back her roommate asked, "Well, how was his kissing?"

"Well," the first girl replied, "his kissing was just so-so; but I loved the way he held me!"

To make a trombone sound like a French horn, stick your hand in the bell and play lots of wrong notes.

School gig tonight at 7pm. It's on facebook. Go here https://www.facebook.com/CollinCollegeMusic then click EVENTS.

There is also a master class with our guest artist and a concert tomorrow night with the school big band.

This is the world premier of my original tune "Private Eye". Here is the score and parts on googledrive if you want to follow along. private eye - Google Drive

We had a big ole coyote in the back yard yesterday at 8 AM...broad daylight, and just calmly exploring the fenceline for a breakfast bunny.
