Yeah, that! I wrote this "article" about my last one.
Accurate. But for the dietary list. They ordered me on a two day fast before prep night. Anesthetic was administered via IV. Someone added something to the line and I was G.O.N.E.
Out of that whole list, the only one I watched was The Wire.Seinfeld is one of those shows that has to grow on you, If I had gone by my first impressions of a lot of shows I would have missed out on a lot of funny or riveting stuff including 'Breaking Bad', 'The Sopranos', 'The Wire', 'Better Call Saul', 'Curb Your Enthusiasm' and now 'Schitt's Creek', all rank up among the best shows I ever seen in my life, up there with The Honeymooners and I love Lucy.

That was a good one, Breaking Bad was even better, Sopranos was another one, with those three shows I had to force myself not to binge watch them. TV programming has come a long way.
This is the only proper way to choose Jello.I refer to Jello by color not "flavor".
Oh, do allow me to provide you a recommendation of a sassy, insouciant little vintage with a delightful nose and strong finish. It's called golytely. As good as it gets. No incompletes with this stuff. No trips of more than 15 feet from the facilities, either. The clock is ticking on my next colonoscopy. Three years to go to my next intimate date with a few ducolax and Vitamin M (Miralax). Last time around I took an "incomplete" with the first exam. This was followed by a two day fast before banishment to purge-atory![]()
We'll be here.Maybe I'm not old enough yet? At 71 I really don't feel grumpy, and even the aches and pains are tolerable. Maybe next year.
I think the entire moniker GOF, comes from the fact, that as we get older, we realize that filtering what we want to say, is time consuming, and time is no longer a luxury. I saw this with my grandparents, and other older relatives, in that they would say things to people, which would have gotten a much younger person, a challenge to fisticuffs (Yeah I heard it) but they didn’t care if someone was offended, embarrassed, or anything else. I find myself drifting further and further into that camp, as the years tick by, at an ever increasing rate.
A little sad today. Dick Reade, the guy who hired me for my first real job in '74 passed away at age 98. He flew a P38 reconnaissance aircraft in WWII and got into crop dusting after the war. He founded Mid-Continent Aircraft in Hayti, MO in 1949. Mid-Continent is primarily ag aircraft sales and service but for a number of years they restored Boeing PT17 Stearman aircraft.
Here is Mid-Cont's website. Click the pic at the left for a biography of Mr. Reade.
MidContinent Aircraft Corp
My first job at Mid-Cont was in the maintenance and parts departments handing work orders, inventory, etc. In '76 I was asked if I wanted to work with computers. Well, yeah! I had a successful IT career because of Mr. Reade taking a chance on a 20 yr old that knew nothing.
I miss the occasional Stearman rides from back then. Mr. Reade would take the staff up for a ride and aerobatics once in a while. Tons of fun! I also got to fly with him to Kankakee, IL to deliver a Stearman to a customer and pick up one as a trade in. Great trip and a wonderful airplane. Here is a pic of the Stearman we flew to the customer.
