Was fortunate enuff to see the original 7 3x; my daughter, who didn't exist at that time, and I have been to ~12 Chicago concerts. I can easily live with the ballads for a coupla tastes of "Beginnings", "Ballet for a girl from Buchcannon"(sp?), "Introduction", "Questions 67 & 68", and, of course, "25 or 6 to 4". Plus the fact that 4 of those concerts were a double bill with "EW&F".Yeah, don't care much for the ballad stuff. Around Chicago VII and VIII, stuff was becoming over arranged with strings. "Old Days" on VIII is an example of over arranging. Way too much strings.
Somehow, Bootsy was PERFECT with Chicago. I enjoyed their joint songs (no grass jokesWas fortunate enuff to see the original 7 3x; my daughter, who didn't exist at that time. and I have been to ~12 Chicago concerts. I get hit up by schools. Not only do they want money, they want me to leave it to them in my will. They have endowments worth billions. They keep buying hotels and other real estate all over the city, renovating, and converting a lot to student housing with fancy restaurants, maid, and concierge service. Those students have nicer places than many. The sports facility was recently updated and expanded. THEY WANT ME SUPPORT THAT!

I agree. BTW, I still have that NYC area bridge for sale.I would have a problem with that. I would expect donations to go primarily to, oh, I don't know, maybe EDUCATION and TEACHER'S PAY?

It feels weird out there today, beyond the ordinary weird that has been normal for a good while now. The smells of summer ... tar ... a cherry picker has a lane closed on a main street ... there are many trolls in the city but none so visible as the parking meter guy. Today his scowl runs deeper, I see, as he doubles back on a block he just walked to issue two more tickets.
All very ordinary, but something feels slightly off to me today

I'm so close to cutting the TV cable.
I get hundreds of useless channels. The other day I worked it out, I watch shows over 11 channels. Three of the channels there's one show on each that interests me. One thing that they do that really irritates me is that every once in a while they take away channels and substitute something else. They do this without notifying me. I assume that a contract must run out so it goes away. One package is 15 channels that I select, four of them were changed for things that I'd never watch. Anothere package was 16 channels, over the years it seems that everything was changed out except for one. Today I rearranged selections and got the bill down a bit. I feel like I'm spending a lot every month for nothing.
Since I have unlimited fiber optic internet, I'm thinking of getting Amazon Prime video with an added option or two. I want 4K resolution. Not sure if Netflix would be better. All I really want is some old movies. Other network channels I can get for free via apps on the internet and cast them onto the TV. I seems like it's just a bit more work involved.

Then again that's the direction and prices have really come down on 4K TVs and new programming is increasing.
I found that aspect of the movie real entertaining...dream-like.
